Holder and Contempt

Here's a basic explanation of the events leading up to the contempt charge




1. Fast and Furious , a sting operation that went horribly wrong .



Mexico was never told that Federal Agents were selling guns to an INSURGENCY inside Mexico


The Feds quickly lost rack of hundreds ( of the THOUSANDS ) of weapons they sold because "Someone" ordered agents to "Let the guns walk into Mexico" .


Over 300 confirmed deaths attributed to these weapons ,including an American Law Enforcement Agent.





2. When the details became public , many people began asking these questions


Why were THOUSANDS of guns used in the sting operation ?
( And thats a damn good question )

Why wasn't Mexico informed
( Technically an act of war )

Why were hundreds of the weapons allowed to cross the border ?

WHOSE BRIGHT IDEA WAS THIS ?


Who gave the order preventing Agents from seizing the weapons before they entered Mexico
( Remember , arming an insurgency is an act of war )




3. Eric Holder had to testify before Congress and answer these questions ( there were quite a few more, I just listed the basic ones)


He got caught lying...

Example: in May of 2011 he claimed that he had only heard of "Fast Furious" within the previous two weeks.
Records show that he was getting regular briefings on the operation since June of 2010 ( 10 months ) and thats just from the records Holder DID turn over





4. Holder was ordered to turn over all known documents pertaining to the operation


He turned over less than 10% of the documents





5. On the day Holder was to be charged with contempt , Obama tries to retroactively put all the documents under "Executive Privilege".



6.Holder was found in contempt, while Congress can't demand documents once "Executive Privilege" is cited ,the simple fact is that Holder refused to hand over the documents for over a year BEFORE Obama exerted the privilege


So Holder has been held in contempt

( And he deserved it )
















What appears to have happened is this



The Feds were investigating a arms smuggling operation.


For reasons unknown, someone in the Obama Administration ordered Agents to make no arrests and to allow the weapons to enter Mexico

This person seemed to be unaware that his actions constituted an act of war against a sovereign nation

Once the scandal was exposed by a whistle blower, Eric Holder and the Obama Administration went into "Bunker Mode".


Holder lied to Congress several times, and refused to hand over documents pertinent to the investigation


Once Holder was no longer able to "delay and stall" the hearings any longer (without risking a stay in prison) , Obama steps in and uses "Executive Privilege" to stall the hearings even further.



And here's the kicker

Your average liberal is so full of shit , they can't see the problem.
