Many Have Said Yoga Is Demonic Worship - If So - This Is Frightening!

In one way it looks incredibly focused peacefulness and evidence that many Americans are trying to attain a level of health and fitness. On another level it looks like a very large cultic type worship.

Yoga has absolutely NOTHING TO DO with summer solstice ritualistic practices of people involved with wicca and black magic. If they are doing it in the USA, is because American society is fucked up. Yoga is not evil and only Christian fundamentalists and bible tards believe it.

That's funny...Hinduism and other yoga practicing religions all say that Yoga channels the spirits or gods of their faiths into the person using the yoga. How would that be Christian fundamentalist or bible tards? Those are the people that actually created the yoga movements...they claim the movement were taught to them to channel the energy of the universe, animals, spirits, gods, etc., then use that energy to guide, strengthen and unite their own lives. Make sure you know your info before you start throwing out accusations.

Both our jaws dropped. Neither one of us are practicing Christians, nor do we practice yoga ... but come on ... how in the WORLD did that man equate yoga with satanism ???

Just because they're not using the American hyped up analogies of people screaming out pleas for satan to enter them, doesn't mean they're not channeling or calling for spiritual embodiment, otherwise known as possession. Every single major teacher of yoga will tell you that you ARE CHANNELING SPIRITS into your body. practicing yoga won't make you satanic, hindu or anything else that you don't want. Just like practicing a Japanese karate style won't make you Japanese.

Karate IS A RELIGION, ask those who follow it "religiously". There is one other particular religion that is often associated with Karate, Zen Buddhism. Wether you are aware that you're practicing a religion or not doesn't matter. If I teach you my religious practices but never tell you they're in fact religious, it doesn't mean you're not practicing a religion. It just means you're doing something without knowledge or understanding of where it originated. If "gods" or "demons" or "fallen angels" have taught people to contact the spirits through certain poses and chants, then...when a person learns these poses and chants during an exercise session, the spirits are still going to be called through the poses and chants wether you meant to call them or not!

There are 8 limbs of yoga the one that has different poses is called Hatha yoga, just stretching and balance, joining mind and body, no worship to any God, it has gotten so commercial in the last 15 years. I went in 1982 to Santa Barbara and got my yoga license when people thought yoga was the little guy on Star Wars. Yoga is all about moderation and not pushing the body, sounds like they were pushing hard in the hot weather. No has nothing to do with spells or witchcraft. Quite the opposite

Nahh,bullshit, I got an invitation to that and it specifically said to celebrate the summer solstice, I should come and meditate with them, bring my mat, something like that. I was trying to find it, proly threw it away. They picture females often standing like in prayer, claiming its "meditation". They have no idea what true meditation is. If you learn what God says, through the bible and then mutter it to yourself, especially when that particular message is needed in your life, like recalling healing scriptures if your sick, thatsmeditation. *Not* clearing your mind and contemplating your naval, or whatever that is they do. The exercises themselves are fine but they add pagan religion to it that needs to be left out. And, that's the truth, pagan-tard!

Yoga is an eastern religion. It's purpose is to connect with pagan deities. We are told explicitly by Paul in the Bible that such deities are demons. It's that simple.

Yoga is not a religion, have you ever heard someone say oh, I believe in yoga , , when doing yoga nothing is said about Jesus or God, now remember we are talking about Hatha yoga, postures. "Evil" is merely disharmony. That's what it boils down to, if we think of all the things that society generally considers "evil", it's acts that create disharmony among living things and the environment around them.

Take a second to really comprehend that statement, and you'll find it true. So when someone tells me some people stretching peacefully is evil, all I see are intentionally ignorant religious zealots living a life of fear.

You missed his point about karate. He's not saying karate is or isn't a religion, he is stating that practicing karate doesn't turn you Japanese. Whether or not it is a "religion" when people practice it "religiously" is really very silly. People who have hobbies like gardening, painting, and sports don't view those activities as a religion even if they perform them every day. It is an enjoyable part of their life. It has nothing to do with their spiritual beliefs.

When someone is practicing "religion" they do it with the intention of practicing religion. Just like when most non hindu people practice yoga it is their intention to relax their body and mind, not practice a "religion." If you follow your thought process all the way to the nth degree, then every little thing a person does is either practicing religion or satanic worship. So let's have an example: when you are showering, do you cleanse your private parts? Sure you do. But isn't it considered demonic and sinful to touch yourself? Its all about your intention, isn't it? You aren't intending to masturbate, just clean yourself. Most consider yoga to be on par with relaxing stretching and that's what they intend to do. Thats is it. No satanic worship. End of story.

I really find it offensive when christians consider everything they either don't understand or don't like to be demonic or satanic. That is SO close'minded. And don't forget the red karma that many "christians" on this site LOVE to give when they don't agree with what someone says. I especially love it when the karma is followed by "fat bitch" or "fucking idiot."
