Yup. The day earth becomes 100% solar power? The beginning of a new ice age because of all the glass reflecting sunlight. To power a single home takes about a football field worth of glass.

Not to mention the likely MILLIONS of tons of batteries that would be required.


Yea not only is solar not the answer its just plain moranic.

The only way solar is feasible?

The PV cell would have to be replaced with something strong. not sure what but not glass. Then it would have to be in space and tethered to the ground.

Then the cells could receive more powerful sunlight not dimmed by the atmosphere, sunlight 24/7(no batteries required, you guys seem to forget about this thing called night time), and you wont have all the glass reflecting off the surface to effect the planets climate.



And this is just a stoner giving it a lil thought. You fools a so retarded. And they have you so fooled into thinking your smart and proactive when all your doing is confirming that we will fall for it again.


Oh and i totally forgot the vulnerability. Its glass people. Glass breaks. Not to mention the maintenance. Those panels? They get dirty? They take up less power. So they must be cleaned constantly. And theres ALOT of them. If theres a storm and they break? You lose power. A hurricane? entire areas would lose power. Not like now where its back on in a week. Like your out of power for weeks untill you get new panels.

But dont worry. If you only have to replace just the panels and your battery bank and other infrastructure remains in tact? yay its only gonna be about 100k for just the panels.

Oh and the batteries. I dont know for sure but id expect they are also very expensive, and probably couldnt lsat more than 10 years before theyd have to be replaced.

Solar would create a great volume of battery waste. Enough that may even rival the nuclear waste its replacing.
