EBT and Debit Down For Major Grocer

I can confirm that Debit and EBT are down at my local Publix and Walmart in Tampa, FL

publix and winn dixie are the 2 competing chains in miami

Publix in Satellite Beach, FL-Debit/EBT down, and people saying that wasn't the only place.

Bank debit cards and my FL State EBT food assistance card. I had to pay with cash.

Same at work today in the UK - Cash only purchases

the publix at island walk in fernandina beach is down....just left there

they took my credit card but not as a debit Fx

Yep...Obama and Holder need another massive distraction to distract from the Contempt (and likely impeachment) proceedings. They, of course, were hoping that the contempt proceedings (and constitutional crisis of their making) would move along slowly enough to distract from their abysmal failures elsewhere, but alas, nobody is swallowing their bullshit anymore.

Now they need to go to plan B...

Guys, you do know that a debit card can be processed as a credit card, right? I used to own a gift shop and it was actually cheaper for us to run the cards as a credit and not a debit. I don't know about EBT cards, though. If your debit card won't run, ask the cashier to try it as a credit card.

I always have them run my debit as a credit card and especially when I use it at gas pumps so I dont have to put a pin in.

I do that too, if I'm somewhere that seems unsafe. Specially after I've seen a newstory about pins getting stolen!

Funny because on the way home from work today both an ESSO and a Petro-Canada gas station that are right across from each other were closed and the lights were off.

Possible debit connection issue or just me being paranoid?

If anyone else in different parts of the US noticed that they were not accepting EBT (foodstamp credit cards). Please put down that info in this thread. I am curious how widespread it is. It is confirmed in NV and CA that we know of. Please everyone here share any more info from the states that you live in as well.
