We are selling off our nation to the point that we are allowing China to develop our own natural resources: Why Is The Obama Administration Allowing The Chinese Government To Buy Up U.S. Oil And Gas Deposits Worth Billions Of Dollars? [link to endoftheamericandream.com] Excerpts: If we are trying to become independent of foreign oil, then why is the Obama administration allowing the Chinese government to buy up U.S. oil and gas deposits worth billions of dollars? This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The United States desperately needs to maintain control over its own domestic energy resources so that we can end our addiction to foreign oil. …The Chinese government is using two giant corporations to buy up these energy resources. The first is the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). According to Wikipedia, this corporation is 100 percent owned by the Chinese government. The second is Sinopec Corporation. Sinopec Group is the largest shareholder (about 75% of the shares) in Sinopec Corporation. And as the Sinopec website tells us, Sinopec Group is owned by the Chinese government. I was told that Genoa schools weren't going to teach it anymore, but it doesn't look that way to me. Here's a link to the Toledo Blade with an article about schools across the state teaching Mandarin. Not the state I grew up in! They still can't teach German! Where the hell are the 'good ole' boys'....Seriously, what will it take before we become UNITED again? This has to start somewhere, we HAVE to start doing something and FAST!!! It may already be too late! ~If everyone would take responsibility for their actions or lack of, then we could all be free~ |

Landfills full of cheap, plastic crap. That is NOT the legacy I want to leave for future generations. It's time to start building things again -- things that matter -- things that bring importance to this world and we need a leader like JFK that will set the bar high and challenge this nation. I want my leaders to stand up and say: "We don't care what you do with your cheap products produced by a manufacturing culture that enslaves its workers. We don't want them. We're moving on to build bigger, faster, stronger goods, once again. We don't care what you do with your oil. You can drink, swim, or bathe in it. We don't want it. We're moving on to a cleaner, better, more efficient forms of domestic energy that we have the ability to develop for ourselves." Dare to dream, huh? When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 17766725 United States 06/21/2012 04:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This article was a year ago - China proposal to build 50 sq.mi. self-sustaining city in Idaho. _______________________ Thanks to the trillions of dollars that the Chinese have made flooding our shores with cheap products, China is now in a position of tremendous economic power. So what is China going to do with all of that money? One thing that they have decided to do is to buy up pieces of the United States and set up “special economic zones” inside our country from which they can continue to extend their economic domination. One of these “special economic zones” would be just south of Boise, Idaho and the Idaho government is eager to give it to them. China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach for short) plans to construct a “technology zone” south of Boise Airport which would ultimately be up to 50 square miles in size. The Chinese Communist Party is the majority owner of Sinomach, so the 10,000 to 30,000 acre “self-sustaining city” that is being planned would essentially belong to the Chinese government.... ...According to the Idaho Statesman, the idea would be to build a self-contained city with all services included. It would be modeled after the “special economic zones” that currently exist in China. [link to www.eutimes.net] |

Texan Buckeye User ID: 1533753 United States 06/21/2012 04:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You have to understand Toledo's very liberal politics. For decades, it's been worse than a good 'ole boy system. There have even been rumors over the years about mob activities. There have ALWAYS been lots of pay-offs. What really bothers me is, Toledo is a HUGE port, with too many unemployed/underemployed people. They will never be able to make use of the facilities that are been built on the river. Add to the mix, the opening in the last month, of a casino. It just seems to me to be the final nail in Toledo's coffin. It makes me sad, seeing the city as it is now. I grew up in the area, I worked in the city. Everyone I know back there can say the same thing. It was unbelievable to drive down streets that used to be very old homes that were neat and kept up, now to see them literally falling down. |

Quoting: Adventus Domini [link to theeconomiccollapseblog.com] Excerpts: It has been said that there are two ways to conquer and enslave a nation. One way is by using the sword, and the other is by using debt… By running a gigantic trade deficit with us, China has been able to become incredibly wealthy... Now China is gobbling up U.S. real estate and U.S. assets at an astounding pace. In fact, some cities are in danger of becoming completely dominated by Chinese ownership. One of those cities is Toledo, Ohio. In many "rust belt" areas, real estate can be had for a song, and the Chinese are taking full advantage of this. America was once the wealthiest nation on earth, but now we are drowning in debt and we are being sold off in chunks to the highest bidder. Is this the legacy that we are going to leave for future generations? . . . In addition to real estate, the Chinese are also buying up businesses and natural resources all over the United States. . . .
