Re: What is the absolute strangest thing that you have ever seen that no one else could POSSIBLY beleive?
After reading the whole tread only to find out that i wont get a reading i figure I'd share a strange happening after my grampa's passing.
My Pappy, who meant the world to me. passed away when I thirteen.Even before he drew his last breath, his kids were fighting over his possessions and wealth.
He always wore this Toronto Maple leafs hat that had beads over the logo.It was his signature hat.The last time i seen him alive,my dad and I just had a fight, and i left the house mad.He just happen to pull up in the driveway as i was leaving and he said "hows Paulie?"I almost blurted out"fuck you!" because i was all fired up.But i managed to hold it in and walked on by without saying a word.Hurts me to think about it,but that's the last time i would ever see him alive again
.
When we gotten word of his passing I was sad,but it didn't even hit me that hard, like i thought it would. That is till the day of his funeral.Everything just came out.I've just lost my rock. The one person i thought was immortal was just a man after all.I cried my heart out.The church was packed!People had to wait outside till there was room in the church to pay their respects.
While i was looking around at all the people, close to the end of the serves i noticed a man in the third, forth row who looked exactly like my Pappy.he even wore the Toronto maple leafs hat with the beads on it.He would look around every now and then at the people.Only logical thing i could come up with was that he had a twin brother i never knew he had lol.Honestly,i felt jealous this man had my Pappys favorite hat on.i actually wanted it myself cause of the bond we had.I Knew it was not polite to stare so i would look every so often. When we were paying our last respects,he was standing up font, shaking peoples hands, smiling.
Seeing him lying peacefully in his coffin confirmed his passing. His "twin" was not there to shake my hand.Nor was he there at the feast after the services.
I've never talked about this to my family much.I denied it for so long. Now i just accept it as truth.I don't think i was ready at the time to see him go.I think he wanted me to know that life goes on and I'll be ok.Right now i struggle with the demons of my past.things that are not under my control. This story and my son keep me going.
One step at a time.
PEACE EVERYONE.

I don't know if this is possible, but could you do a reading on my wife?

Many issues that I'm trying to get a grip on. Many thanks, with an abundant amount of patience…

Re: What is the absolute strangest thing that you have ever seen that no one else could POSSIBLY beleive?
Here's my unbelievable story.

When I was in my early 20s and lived on Oahu with my sister, we liked to go hiking. Not on any established trails, we'd just pick a likely-looking spot of woods and start exploring.

One day we decided to explore part of the mountains a mile or two from our house. After hiking uphill through the woods for a couple of hours, we came upon three stone cairns. They were good-sized, maybe about 6-7 feet long, 5 feet wide at the base, 5-6 feet high. And they were OLD. They were covered with vines and leaf moss, and just had that worn look that very old stone gets.

We figured they were old burial cairns. We stood and looked at them for a few minutes, then without really knowing why, I put my hands together and bowed as a sign of respect. My sister did the same. Then we circled around them and kept hiking.

Fast forward a few more hours. We were starting to reach an area that would have been too steep to go much farther, and we realized that we had lost track of the time and the sun was setting behind the mountains. Well, we were screwed little idiots, we had nothing with us, not even a flashlight. We started heading down as fast as we could, but the dark caught up to us. Just before the light went away completely, we started to hold hands so we wouldn't lose each other.

Now, this was no place to be lost in the dark! We'd passed several crevasses and cliffs that would kill you if you fell off, and it was literally so dark in those woods that I couldn't see my own hand in front of my face. We were scared, for sure, and didn't know what to do.

Then suddenly, my sister starts walking and leading me down the mountain. I figured her eyes had adjusted and she could somehow see better than I could, so I just trusted her and let her lead. Her pace never faltered, she kept walking steadily and ended up leading us out of the woods exactly where we'd gone in.

I let out a big sigh and told her I was SO glad she was able to see enough to get us down. Then she turned to me and her face was white. She said, "I couldn't see a thing! Someone else took my other hand and started leading me! I was so scared I just closed my eyes and followed!" She said whatever took her hand had let go just as we stepped out of the woods.

We never went back to that spot. I left the islands more than 20 years ago, but I'd like to find it again, someday. Just to say thank you.

Here's something that not a lot of people know. It's not often discussed, but it's visible in, for example, the Dali Lhama.

Some people experience essentially the same life 'path' over and over again. You may be born repeatedly into a profession or a lifestyle or culture many times.

This is the case for you. You've been your own grandson a time or two and been taught by your own son! How's that for strange. It's not all that uncommon, except that it's very uncommon for it to be so often repeated. Interestingly enough, in this case, it has been a different son each time (spiritually speaking).

Rather than changing your life path, you changed the souls you interacted with. From each new soul, you learned a new lesson, within the framework of what you were.

Can you imagine their frustration with you? Your father is trying to teach and train you, and you, you little shit, are always like, "I know, dad." It's cause you did, not cause you were a little shit (debatable from their opinion, of course).

You didn't need to tell you why you are attracted to it.

But maybe you needed to be told to take it easy on the people teaching you. They don't KNOW that you KNOW. You see?

So chill out, be nice. :p

Hmm interesting. Sandi so do you think the dali lama is the reincarnation of the former dali lama and so on. I spent a lot of time around many high lamas and I don't know if it is real. There was a documentary on it once, the film maker was just showing the process. Anyway the head lama of one of the four branches died and left clues how to find him again. The whole thing just seemed loaded with supersticious thinking, and silly. The tests were lame and finally the young kid met with the dali lama who confirmed it was x reincarnated. I don't know but once you see the process rather than reading or hearing about it where the art of story telling makes it seem possible, mystical etc, you sort of come away thinking it is more just a fairy tale and magical thinking that has been spun for centuries.

I know probably not a thing a former pope should be saying :) but the buddhist religion is full of wild stories - flying lamas, bi-location, etc. I think most what not stand up in the modern world as real. Same as the saints in the catholic church. How many are there whose bodies did not decay and healed so many people. Strange how few saints the church now makes and I think partly that is because to claim X was healed of Y disease would have a hard time standing up to medical scrutiny. Church is fast tracking the last pope as a saint but have yet shown who has been healed by him, which is one of the requirements to being a saint. Odd that :)

Again thank you. xoxo

Buddhism has a lot of misconceptions and superstitions. So does every religion.

The Dalai Lhama has not come back every time. It is not always the same soul. However, it frequently is. And even when it is not, the soul intended for that position for that lifetime tends to have the right answers.

The secret of that is hidden within belief; without regard to the accuracy of the belief on a larger scale.

I guess the question might become, does it matter if he was the same soul, as long as he was the right soul?

Re: What is the absolute strangest thing that you have ever seen that no one else could POSSIBLY beleive?
I will add that is odd to think I was a former pope as I think all religions to sum it up in simple terms are hogwash designed to subjugate the masses and keep the compliant and in fear. Hmm, I wonder if I thought that when I was pope or did I come to realize that while in that lifetime?

odd is in this life I had an early fascination will all religions and forms of spirituality. Read, watched any and everything I could get my hands on. Attended all kinds of things and came away thinking most of what was said was fairy tales, fear based, and/or the one that for some reason annoys me the most - all of this is happening because of what you did before, its karma, and so on. I think to some extent this gets under my skin the most because in so much of the world where this is the predominant mindset, so many accept their life as a reflection of past action, and not because they are kept poor and enslaved because a few rotten apples have absconded with the resources and are keeping all the gains etc for themselves and their friends.

Excuse the ranthf

I agree but part of why it is impt is they use the fact that they the dali and all the other lamas can do this as a reason why they are at the top of the tree and one should follow and revere them. So first it creates the same old same old power structures. Second if you read history of tibet you find many of the power had to give food and gifts they did not even have to support the lamas etc who lorded over them, and third it created this whole myth of I am more impt than you, and more evolved so listen to me. Fourth it encouraged meglomania, ego mania and abuse. I could go into this is depth as it was something I got into at a deep level as i was fascinated at first with the whole thing only to see the same abuse and heirarchial structure at play. I know it is more complex then that but this is not the forum for such discussion. hf

Re: What is the absolute strangest thing that you have ever seen that no one else could POSSIBLY beleive?
When I was 15 ,I was fed up with life. I was just a dumb kid back then. So i ordered a book from amazon, how to summon angels/demons. I went through the ritual to summon a demon, and told it.. it could have anything from me if it gave me power, and made me happy. Nothing happened. I went to bed and woke up to a figure at the end of my bed. He had red eyes and i couldn't see his face. I couldn't move, and tried to scream but couldn't. He looked down at me and starting growling. Another figure walked in the room with white eyes, and told the figure to go. The figure continued to growl at me. The white eyed man yelled i command at the figure. He vanished from the end of my bed. The one with white eyes, smiled at me and touched my forehead. I woke up and it was day time. This was the last time I tried anything supernatural.

Thanks for sharing..love the woods story! And I also went through a stupid phase when I was around 14 of trying to fool around with witch craft though I didn't have anything so dramatic happen.

Sounds like a good entity was there to help you.

Re: What is the absolute strangest thing that you have ever seen that no one else could POSSIBLY beleive?
I've had so many things happen that I have to think back to recall just a few of them. Such as "amazing" coincidences. And several very close brushes with violent death.

I’ll give one, and you will get the short version of it. I went on contract to the Santa Clara Valley Water District as a network technician. I left a place called Acuson Medical. So, while at the Water District I found I had a number of connections with the people I worked with in the tech dept.

1) There was a consultant there setting up servers. I had applied for a part time job with him about two years earlier, but didn’t take it.

2) I became Dave’s helper. Dave went from main frame programmer to having to learn NT. I knew more about NT than him so he used to call me his guru. While at Acuson I probably worked on about 700 computers, and hence, dealt with a lot of people. Strangely one of the very last people I did something for, and didn’t know he existed up till then, was Dave’s brother.

3) There was some prior connection the the consultant’s gf who also worked there, but I can’t recall what that one was.

4) I went to Acuson as a contract worker for a firm in Oakland. They had just hired a new supervisor whose name I can’t recall now, but he was supervising some computer repair firm in San Francisco just before that. There were two contract techs at the Water District, me and Tony. We became pals. It just so happened that my former “new” supervisor in Oakland was Tony’s “former” supervisor at that company in San Fran.

So, time goes on. Water District decides to cancel all contracts with contract workers. Offers Tony and I a job but we both refuse. I get a contract with PG&E in the Stockton Division. So I am there a couple of months, Tony contacts me about job leads, I recommend my agency and PGE, and he gets a job at PG&E in San Francisco.

Months go by. I tried to find an old friend who used to work at PG&E as a meter reader long long ago. In fact I used to be engaged to his sister (another whole set of strange things there too!). So, I can’t find this guy, so in one email to Tony (who I had long told of all the strange things happening in my life, including all the coincidences at the Water District) I ask him to be on the look out for my old pal, who I will call Al.

I never heard from Tony again.

About a year later, I had got promoted to Network Admin in Stockton, and we were converting to NT from Banyan. So, I got sent on courses, was told about a guy in charge of the entire project for the company, but I was dealing with a dozen or so other people and never heard or paid attention to the guy’s name.

So one day I get sent to a meeting facility of PG&E’s south of Newman, and there are about 30 of us in the room, going to learn about the big NT conversion, just waiting for the meeting to start after the big guy shows up.

Big guy walks into the room, we stare at each other, I get up walk around some tables, and Al wearing the same long hair and beard goes “HEY MAN!” My long lost buddy. We give long hugs, and lots of “wows”. Strange little world.

Later, I remembered about emailing Tony about Al, and I asked Al if he had ever met Tony. Al’s eyes go big and he says “TONY K? Yeah, I know Tony, he used to work for me. But he just disappeared one day!”

I’ve always had a sneaking suspicion that THAT last coincidence was too much for Tony, lol, and he freaked and quit.

True story.

Re: What is the absolute strangest thing that you have ever seen that no one else could POSSIBLY beleive?
Here is another one I just recalled.

Many years ago, when I was deeply interesting in ufo's, psychic phenomena, ancient civilizations, and old mystery schools and esoteric knowledge,

among many other things, I read a copy of Psychic Discoveries Behind the Iron Curtain by Nancy Ostrander and Sheila Schroeder. For those of you that don't know, that book was one of the main impetus for starting the Remote Viewing project with the CIA and US military.

So, I thought the book was REALLY NEAT and informative. And was having tons of psychic adventures of my own at the time.

To make another very long story short I was living on Vancouver Island at the time, and was getting kind of bored with just hanging out, and doing nothing. So one day my roommate whom I will call K has a sales rep over from De Vry Institute. K decides to sign up and in an instant decision, I decide to go to and learn something new.

Couple weeks, month later, something like that we are on our way to Toronto. We stop to party in Vancouver with some friends. We are at a big table with a ton of people, getting loaded, and I am deep into a conversation with this nifty little thing.

Soon K starts bugging me, that I should exchange seats with him, as he is talking to a girl who is right into “psychic things too”. I keep shrugging him off, he keeps bugging me, so finally I change seats.

So, girl and I are talking, time goes by, beer is cheap. I look over and K and the girl I had been hitting on are gone. I swear to myself. Plus we are using K’s van, so if he disappeared I was hosed. I was pissed off, but .....

Girl and I continue our conversation. She claims to know a sister of one of the authors of Psychic Discoveries who lives in Van. I say sure, sure. She gives me her phone number and promises to call the girl and let her know I will call.

Night ends, and yes I didn’t bother knocking because the van WAS rocking when I went out. After K comes out with girl he says something stupid like “hey man, hope you don’t think I was trying to cut in on your action”. I promised him he’d never be safe hitting on another girl if I was around.

Next day, last day in Vancouver I call the sister. Yes, she Was the sister of one of the authors and I got to spend a wonderful hour or two with her, discussing lots of things, drinking tea (Canada don't you know) and she showed me some polaroid’s that didn’t make it into the book, one of which tied into something I had learned from reading up on something called Eckankar at the time.

K and I head off towards Toronto and I start a whole new series of adventures and a change in my life path.

BTW, K got scabies from that girl, (), I got a great conversation with a lovely young Canuck woman and had another very interesting coincidence.

Dear Sandi,
Do you have a site where we could contact you for a reading? Going over these threads I get a sense that you not only stand in the light -- you are the light.
Thank you for your kind reply. God Bless You.

No.

However, I have started a thread for requests. I hope people remember that it will take time for me to get to all the requests, just as it did here.

Here's the other thread.

Thread: That Which Once Was: Past Lives

I have one last request here, and then I'm done in this thread outside of the direct topic at hand.
No more requests in the "Strangest things" thread please. :hf:

There are more stars in the sky than we'll ever be able to count. And the more we look, the more we find.

Consider this: each of those stars has its own position in the heavens. The vast, magnificent cloth of space sprawls out across distances too great to imagine or experience. If you lived a billion lifetimes and could cross the cosmos, you wouldn't find time to know each star.

And so it is with you. You see yourself as a single face lost in the vastness of everyone and everything else. In you, you see only that which everyone else is. You see yourself as another in a line, a tree in a forest so vast that any given tree is lost within it... like you.

But here's the truth of it all. If a star were gone from the heavens, everything would change. You've heard of the butterfly effect? You are made of the stuff of stars, and for all of known history, mankind has navigated by the stars.

That vast canopy of space, endless and perfect, is as much your home as this world... for is not the house the true home, rather than only the single room you are in this moment? Is not the neighborhood as much "where you live" as is the address at which you dwell?

Your problem is that you can't see yourself for the forest. You tell everyone that you're a 'big picture thinker' and this may be true, but is it healthy?

You've lost yourself because you look at everything but yourself. You've lost yourself because when you look at the star that is you, you see only the heavens around it...

Yet the three stars in Orion's belt are each an integral part of the whole.

You are not expendable and you are not miniscule. You're just not looking at the place you are, you're seeing only everything else--and separating yourself from the picture. You are the third star in Orion's belt weeping because you are unimportant... never understanding that it is by your light that whole ships cross vast oceans.

Cargoes move and lives are changed because you exist.

Stop trying to be something. Stars just ARE. Their light comes naturally to others not by trying, but just by being.

Be you. See you.

I see you. But I can't be you.

Re: What is the absolute strangest thing that you have ever seen that no one else could POSSIBLY beleive?
My goodness, Sandi! Aren't all these readings making you exhausted? I have to admit, I'm a bit skeptical, but curious nontheless. It seems if what you are doing is authentic, this would be mighty draining.

I'd like to see what you say of my path, unless I'm the 100th one you have done today! Nap?

It does get exhausting. But it's also rewarding at times. Thank you for your patience.

* * * *

It takes a special soul to enter this world and be, for lack of a better term, 'the bad guy'. Isn't that a strange idea? That it takes more spiritual 'power' to be the bad one than the good one?

It's infrequent that I encounter someone who was famous or especially influential. Unfortunately, not everyone who was famous is someone that a person would wish to have been. I know you've often felt that, thought to yourself, "I must have been someone really bad in my past life to deserve this".

This is a common thought, but it's not actually a spiritually appropriate one. There's no sense in telling you who you were, for it was a very long time ago. And it was spiritually appropriate that you should do what you did. It sounds foreign and you feel like you should be punished. To do evil things is to invite punishment, in human terms of thought.

Yet what you did led to much growth and healing. Strange, is it not? Spiritual growth came from you, because you were a powerful catalyst. An entire region's spiritual direction changed, growth was powerful, even monumental.

Even as you died, though, you asked your advisor who sat beside you, "What have I done?" You didn't understand how you could have done any of that. You didn't understand how your actions brought the positive changes that they did. You hated yourself... and that was the life that you lived. Filled with self-loathing and self-destructive habits.

Still this concept follows you, this terrible sense of impending doom that comes from the requirement to distance yourself from God. In order to do such actions, we must turn our faces from the face of God. We must distance ourselves, and to do so is a tremendous pain.

People often wail that those who commit these acts 'get away with it'. And despite the emotional, psychological, and spiritual agony you experienced in that lifetime as a result of separating yourself from love... you still felt you had not suffered enough, that you can never suffer enough, that god would punish you forever.

You have taken on painful incarnation after painful incarnation; being a self-flagellating monk in one life, a raped chambermaid in another life, and on the list goes... all in 'penance' for being a powerful catalyst for spiritual change for others.

I have sat and spoke with a couple before. The man had cheated twenty years ago, and he'd done his best to pay for it. He had tried and tried to compensate for his actions, and still his wife was angry with him.

I looked at them both, and I asked this question, which I ask now of you... "How long is long enough?"

How much must you pay? How long must you accept the guilt and shame of a long distant lifetime?

Your punishment is of yourself. You have more than paid your dues. But you must first forgive yourself. No one else holds any of this against you. It's all you. It's all your own choice to punish yourself, to hate yourself, to denigrate yourself.

You can be free of the pain only when you forgive yourself, no matter how silly or insignificant your action was that you hold yourself constantly accountable for. You take the tiniest things in this life and blow them up into massive lead balloons and beat yourself up emotionally for them.

You may have given up the physical scourging, but you're still doing the emotional scourging.

Yet what you don't understand is that you've already paid in misery. You've paid your dues and you've done it lifetime after lifetime after lifetime.

It's time to let go and stop hating yourself. You are a precious, beautiful soul who gave a gift in disguise. You are a treasured, beloved soul who IS a gift in disguise.

You are not a burden. You are a precious living thing who brings wonder and value and magic to this world. You must let go of your self-hatred and welcome yourself to this world. You bring more wonderful things to the world than you can ever know.

The punishment comes from you. So does the 'redemption' of your self-hatred. Only you are angry with your own soul. God is not angry with you and is not punishing you.

It's God's desire that you be rich, and live with hope and joy and all good things.

I forgive you. Can you?

Wow Sandi,
I have run alt bookshops, met nearly every guru and new age speaker, run conferences, published books and magazines - and met shitloads of amazing and inspirational people ...

but reading your life story, and then seeing how you have handled it with this positive gift - just brings tears of joy to my eyes.

I just want to give you the biggest hug of love and say 'thank you' for all the help and understanding you are bringing to people.

Please consider writing a book or figuring out a way to spread your understandings, but without burning yourself out in the process. I personally know publishers who will publish you, radio shows who will host you, and/or conferences for you to speak at - just let me know how far you want to take all this - if at all.

I was in a friend's flat in east London
It was the middle of the afternoon.
The bloke went into the kitchen to put the kettle on.
I was sitting on the couch when out of the carpet
not five feet from the couch
Rose this *head* without a body
and it went around and around slowly
a couple inches from the carpet.
When the guy came back into the room
he looked at my face
and said I was as white as a ghost.
I kept my mouth shut, though, about
*whatever*
it was that I saw.

Hi Sandi,

Thank you for the help your Readings have brought people. You have touched deeply a friend of mine who is normally quite stoic and withdrawn and who contributes everywhere he goes with great genuine heart.

I would really appreciate your insights for me when you get some time.

On post 34 someone mentioned a weird cartoon they remember from childhood and I know the very one. No you didn't dream it.

It was worn out dancing shoes
The twelve dancing princesses

It might not have been this exact cartoon but this one is pretty weird so it was probably this one. If not, just search those terms and you'll find it, because I recognize that story line.
