Anonymous Coward User ID: 5490382 United States 06/21/2012 08:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Cool story...and I LOVE Taos. Learned to ski there mid-70s when Ernie Blake was still on the mountain. Quoting: Rael BTW/FYI- when they hit the ground, they are called "meteorites"...until then, they are just meteors. The skiing here was GREAT this past season! Jealous...I'm in Colorado and love the skiing here, but my first love is Taos. Have already given marching orders to my kids that my ashes are to be scattered in Kachina Bowl...lol. |

Gregor Samsa User ID: 17061619 Turkey 06/21/2012 09:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the weather guy at KRQE in Albuquerque said it wasn't a meteorite it was something that starts with a C and ends with a T. Quoting: CuriosityCat1 hmm that's interesting. I believe that we'll see much more of these in the near future. To know means to know all. Not to know all means not to know. In order to know all, it is only necessary to know a little. But, in order to know this little, it is first necessary to know pretty much. G.I. Gurdjieff |

I mean HUGE. Think 1/4 the size of the moon. Quoting: CuriosityCat1 I honestly thought I had seen a UFO dart behind Taos Mountain. A little while ago I was listening to the Albuquerque New Mexico news and they reported that other folks in Northern New Mexico had reported seeing a HUGE WHITE OBJECT...reportedly a meteorite. I felt really vindicated. I didn't know that meteorites were white. I had no idea that they were that BIG, and further more I am just thankful that it didn't fall into any houses, as it would have demolished them. I am concerned that our government had no way of telling something that big was incoming! Did anyone else see anything? I remember seeing a thread yesterday regarding fire operations in Colorado being stopped for a possible meteorite shower...could this have been what they were talking about??? hahahahahahahahaha good old new mexico LOLOLOLOLOL |
