1. Staged events usually receive immediate national news coverage
2. There is a political agenda behind the coverage (gun control)
3. The incident inspires intense emotions (Dead kids)
4. Initial media reports conflict eyewitness accounts
5. No dead bodies are shown to the public
6. Celebrities are used to influence the public
7. Presence of mainstream media manipulation tactics
8. The Federal Government give attention to a local story

But people can try to get involved on the local level and try to thwart the Sustainable development / Smart Growth / Comprehensive Plans that local cities and counties are enacting. I mean, you can at least try...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6383062

Here's the problem with that (although that would be nice, in a better world).

The economy is crap. Municipalities are going broke. Some are fighting back, but most are not.

The reason...

Benefits have been put into place for those municipalities that comply, via what I like to call "loophole legislation," some via earmarks (you know, those pesky little things that O was supposed to put an end to), and some via EOs. This applies to both sides of the aisle.

Combine that with the loosely defined EOs that lack solid interpretation, and we have a perfect storm.

I'm not a Negative Nellie type of person, but I know screwed when I see screwed.

And, fwiw, Affordable Health Care does not cover K-Y Jelly.

I tried to fight it in my city, and during the city council meeting and the 3rd reading of our comprehensive plan, there was over 4 hours of public comment from neighborhood association leaders, members of the public, etc - overwhelmingly against the plan. Not that it mattered - the council, without really any acknowledgment or comment on the negatives raised, passed it on unanimous vote.

I really try to be hopeful, but I think you're correct, though I'm loathe to admit it.

The problem as I see it is that there is all kinds of free federal money from the EPA, HUD, DHS, NHTSA, etc - but in order to apply or qualify for any of that funding, the city must have a compehensive plan (smart growth or sustainability plan) in place first.

Our city, for example, "magically" and "unexpectedly" got another 30 million in highway funding in the week after the comprehensive plan was passed by the city council. I'm sure the timing was purely coincidental (/sarc)

Have you come across any places in the US that have not yet been comprimised by Agenda 21? I'm looking into Montana and Wyoming, but not sure about whether they've been hijacked by ICLEI / Agenda 21 or not.

I haven't really looked into it. Sadly, I don't see the need to. I firmly believe the loose language in the EOs in particular, creates a smooth path and flexibility to adapt to any and all opposition.

On a side note, and this is my opinion only, the Google/Apple drones that are out mapping, are specifically looking at farms and at private backyard gardens. There's just no other plausible explanation.

Here's another interesting section. I have no idea what this one means, but it's pretty dense:

142. We reaffirm the right to use, to the full, the provisions contained in the
agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), the
Doha Declaration on the TRIPS Agreement and Public Health, the decision of the
WTO General Council of 30 August 2003 on the implementation of paragraph 6 of
the Doha Declaration on the TRIPS Agreement and Public Health, and, when formal
acceptance procedures are completed, the amendment to article 31 of the
Agreement, which provides flexibilities for the protection of public health, and, in
particular, to promote access to medicines for all, and encourage the provision of
assistance to developing countries in this regard.

I hear ya. I started doing my research because I wanted to understand how this UN Agenda 21 document was being implemented at the local / city level - wanted to understand the mechanics of it.

Here's a link where you can see if your city is a member of ICLEI, which would mean they're enacting legislation to further agenda 21 goals:

[link to www.iclei.org]

The list is not always updated or completely inclusive, but it does list 1200 cities worldwide that are working toward Agenda 21.

This is all about "global redistribution and sustainability," so "they" say. Your country is a UN member, so it would be a mistake to assume you are immune to any and all legislation that comes out of this.

TPTB don't want you to know that they want kill off 90% of the population. Agenda 21 has coasted on by for a good while in the shadows where the only people to draw attention to it were called "conspiracy theorists" and crazies.

The truth is getting out and they are afraid they won't be able to cull the herd before the herd culls them.

So, with the nicest possible false smile, they are going to stop us doing everything unless it is regulated. No fishing, no eating, no drinking water, no breathing, no choosing where to live, no disturbance of any of the natural world - even enjoying the outdoors will be regulated. Crap world this is going to be. They just don't get it - when we are left to live in our own, humanly natural freedom =, that organic type of free life = our choices and our existence is fully part of the planets ECO BALANCE and should be left untouched by their meddling and their political mincing machine.

I am fed up with their buzz words used repeatedly - which mean nothing except what they have agreed that they mean. Sneeky. If we disturb the soil of this planet, it is just us being what we are. The climate stuff they use to enhance most of their buzz words is all skewed and they have runnaway with the initial (false, bias due to the research requirements that demand scientits find conclusions favourable to the funders, all devoid of critical examination for the hidden politics...... sorry that is all a mouthful) climate change babble.

No global warming has been detected! At all! none!

I wish it were not so, but based upon my knowledge of minerals and resources on the continent, I'm starting to think some of the wars in some of the countries there are begun on purpose, by outside sources, to warrant UN intervention and occupation (and after that, the mineral and resource deals are made).

But that's a whole other thread. Best of luck to you! hf

Re: RIO UPDATE: Key 53-page Document (will be) Approved (And Designated "Classified" By the UN)

This. Too many people waking up.

This sudden move to hide their plans makes me think the shit really is about to hit the fan.

That document we have been perusing may not be the finished product.

And you're right. Previous documents were available to the press. And now... crickets. Not much in the news about it today, at all.

But we have time for John Edwards. wall

At all! none!
