Re: Ron Paul Admits He's On Social Security, Even Though He Believes It's Unconstitutional
If you invested money in a program, whether it was Law or not, you expect something in return, especially after they hold your money and invest it ... the SS - by law - is not allowed to loan that money out ... but they do... at extremely low interest rates to the bankers, who actually DO make money on it ...

at a rate of $50 a week, for 40 years, I have invested well over 100K into the SS system ... they know I won't live another 40 years ... so even if they figure I will live 20 more they should be giving me back TWICE as much as I put in, PLUS INTEREST accrued over 40 years ... at the current interest rate annually - my investment was over A MILLION BUCKS - which comes out to around 65K A YEAR for the next 20 years - but I don't even see 10K a year

how many people would invest in a program that steals your money?

What a fucking hypocrite this traitor is.

He's taking back from them the money he didn't believe Social Security should have taken from him (or any other American) in the first place.

I don't see anything wrong with him getting his money back even though he doesn't believe in "the system." If he didn't take the money, that's the government raping you twice.

He wants the younger generation to be able to opt out because by the time it's our turn to collect, there won't be jack shit left.

I wonder where the cut off will be? I'm 50 and have a 401K but have been paying SS since 1979. One company I worked 15 years for went belly-up and my retirement from them was lost, so I will need SS. I hate to think that I paid in with 1980's dollars and will get back (if I get anything) in dollars with far less purchasing power than when they were taken from me.

Get in your defensive stance, Paultards.

This article is going viral. You'll have some explaining to do with this one.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1533318

There is nothing to explain dumbass.

If you're forced to put money in a savings account every week, are you not going to collect it back when you're finally entitled to?

He believes it's unconstitutional to force people to pay into it, yet he lawfully paid it and now he is entitled to get some of it back

That's not being a hypocrite, that's common sense.

I've never heard him say no one should collect SS, but he has said that one day we won't be able to; the system can't pay it all back.

If your money gets stolen from you, and then you're offered a part of it back, you wouldn't take it?

Full retard OP
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9112604

Nope, OP loves being a slave.

But anyway, as for his stance on SS, he has said it needs to be REFORMED so that the money we have already promised soo many people, will be there when the time comes.

So actually since the government has promised him this money, it is not hypocritical at all.

Good try tho.

Just another millionaire that trashes the system while at the same time, sucking off of it.

That's hypocrisy at it's finest.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1533318

Just another fucking idiot on the internet, acting like he knows what he's talking about, but in reality he's just a fucking moron.

He has said that he still pays more in social security tax than he gets from social security. He pays net net into social security. So, why is he a hypocrite? He takes no pac money. Has never gone on a free junket. He has always voted against every tax increase. Those that do not know him criticize him. Once you get it with Ron Paul, you are a supporter for life.

Re: Ron Paul Admits He's On Social Security, Even Though He Believes It's Unconstitutional
He is just getting back the money that the government took from him . He has said if he was younger he would jump at the chance to opt out. He was never given the opportunity to opt out. The government took HIS money for at least 60 years. I'm sure he will never get all of it back.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15738519

No he isn't. The money they took from him has been spent already, the money he is taking is being stolen from young people. Ron Paul is a parasite like all the other old rich people who take SS.

He wasn't forced to put his money into a savings account. His money was stolen from him and given to others. Now that he gets to steal from young people he isn't passing up the chance. Yeah he is a hypocrite.
