camp hayden is located in port angeles, washington. it was built by the army back in world war 2 to protect the strait of juan de fuca from invasion by the japanese. it has since been abandoned by the army. the public can access some of the underground rooms but not all. i ran across a blueprint plan of the place and it mentions a data computer cable. did they have computers back in 1945? i will post the web address of this plan

so they used the word computer back then? oh well, no conspiracy here then...except i noticed they are still running electricity down into it...it has a brand new digital electrical meter now and some new cable wires run down into it. theres also a new green plastic manhole cover. i hear they keep airconditioning or fans running to keep the underground rooms from getting moldy. but i think they are keeping it around in case the military needs it again one day. it is located in a strategic location. they may be able to use it for something

The first computer was built in 1938, it was a simple binary machine.

Wouldn't surprise me if they had some targeting computers.
Would be interesting though, you might have stumbled across some undocumented computer history. Certainly would have been secret at the time.

My Grandfather, now 93, was stationed there in 44 to monitor U-boat and Jap sub activity while flying PBY planes. a lot of them crashed, he was lucky... cool place by the stories he told.

My neighbor was a USSR army private responsible for maintenance/cleaning of empty hydrogen fuel storage tanks in Plesetsk . Once we talked about computers and he told me that
when he was in army back in 1968 on occasion he would sneak out to "scrap" yard...the place where they had brought all damaged, test and used modules from icbms. He said he was radio enthusiast and he was fixing tvs and radios before army....while he was curious for electronics mainly he was looking for gold, silver and platinum parts... to his surprize
when he got inside of some modules there...he said he could not find no Transistor bulbs, very few transistors..and there was something else...only 20 years when he opened up his 1st PC he realized what he saw.

Only in Soviet Union did transistors incorporate vacuum tubes.

Much like Soviet peasant women incorporating Stalin mustaches.

Computers back then were also the mechanical ones used to calculate ballistic trajectories of shells fired from big guns, from either warships or shore batteries:
