Computer question
The reason I'm asking this here on glp is that I have no idea where to start looking for an answer.

I just purchased an internet marketing product that works thru Word Press. It was delivered to me in a zip file.

I have actually paid for winzip, and it is supposedly on my computer, but I can't get it to work.

So that is problem #1 because I haven't been able to open the .exe file.

I'd like to hand this over to someone who can fix it and make it possible for me to access the program I bought whenever I need to.

What should I search for on Google to find help?

Re: Computer question
are you having trouble opening the compressed file? try winRAR, it is free for a trial version (which lasts forever)

Re: Computer question
if winzip is on you computer it should open automatically with said zip file, though.

You should also be weary of .exe files. Hopefully you bought it form a trustworthy site... especially that it's an internet marketing product... as most of those are really just to make the guys who sells it money, not really passing on the idea to the buyers.

That is the scheme... using the pitch to make money.. to make money for themselves.

Ummmm, you shouldnt need to buy any program to unzip a zip file on a windows platform. Corrupt file perhaps. Redownload and try again.

Re: Computer question
Rename the file with ".zip" at the end (file extension)... Then your machine will treat it like a zip file.

I don't know anyone. I tried at the college but they were as unhelpful as could be. I was told I could put up a 3x5 card on a bulletin board!

So what do I search for on Google to find what I'm looking for which would be to install/set up a wordpress plug in and webppage?

What I meant was to find a person who can do this?

Yes, I'm aware of the risks of .exe files. However every internet marketer uses them to transfer software files. I ordered the product and the seller is a respected internet marketer.

It cost me all of $17. It's basically a wordpress plug in that will enable me to give discounts to Facebook members for an eBook they can buy from me.

In return, the program will post a message on their wall that they've just purchased the eBook. The idea is to generate a little bit of viral activity.

It's a win-win. The buyer gets a discount in return for 'advertising' their purchase. If they don't want to advertise their purchase, they can always get the eBook for full price.

Technically, that's not "win-win", it's extortion. It's they do what you want (advertise) or they have to pay more money.
