How do suppose they draw water up 300' if their God given design for raising water glitched Chuck? Can you draw water up 300' simply by means of evaporation?

God sucks the water up the trunk from his magical city in the sky, much like he sucks out the brains of his followers.

Who is Chuck?

By the way, "science" cannot explain in even the faintest way how trees lift water so high.

Do you have any idea how powerful of a pump you would need to lift the amount of water a tree uses to that kind of height?

It's called "head" and don't forget, the water doesn't come from ground level. A 300 foot tree probably has close to a 300 foot taproot as well. So it's lifting a LOT of water about 500 feet. It would take at least a ten hp pump.

That's a LOT of head, there. How does the tree do it?

"Scientists" are still baffled. As usual.

its what we call...intelligent design :D:book:

darwin came up with a lame theory that doesn't hold on the most basic of levels...it half-ass explain how we came to be the way we are...but not how we came along.

you know why evolution gets so much credit? cos scientist literally lose their jobs when they find holes in the theory and suggest intelligent design. ben stein even did a documentary called Expelled about such happenings..makes you wonder

Who the fuck is Chuck?

Oh, wait, I get it. Charles "Chuck" Darwin?

Still, HOW does a tree pump that much water that high? Any answers, "scientists"?

Oh, wait, there's no scientists on GLP, just a bunch of fucking wingnuts.

The giant Redwoods are in a part of the West coast that sees lots of fog - most days get heavy fog or at least low lying clouds.

This deposits water way up near the top.

And the trees don't grow 'straight up'. Interestingly enough each branch grows outward, then makes a 90 degree turn to send up a 'mini tree'. Where the branch meets the trunk it grows into a massive triangular shaped shelf that collects a goodly amount of water.

When a part of the tree dies, the surrounding parts will sprout roots to sink in and basically eat itself, thus stopping moisture loss. As you know, rotting wood tends to draw up a lot of water. plus its full of nutrition.

In the past 10 years they have allowed a few scientists to climb the trees. They have discovered that the canopy has species never seen on the ground, and a lot of those species deposit food stuff (or stuff that turns into soil) in/on those shelves.

There is no cellular mutation, the trees are adapted to absorb water from low cloud and fog and live in an area with massive amounts of fog through most of the year.

One thing is for sure though...it surely couldn't be by divine design.... it had to just luckily happen billions of times/trees in a row.... charlie
