Think about it..

What Calendar are we on? The Gregorian.. (introduced in the 16th century)

Pope Greg took the Julian calendar (introduced in the '1st' century) and added the extra day every 4 years to more properly account for the solar cycle..

When did the Mayans reach the height of their civilization? That's right.. long before the Gregorian Calendar..

Actually, some predictions can pinpointed between 200-950AD.. like the 2012 prediction..

Lol.

Look at the facts..

They believed that when the Sun enters Capricorn on that 'year'.. the 'gods' will return..

Too bad on the Gregorian calendar, on 12-21-12, the Sun is still in / around Sagittarius..

So when does the Sun enter Capricorn? From what I can see.. it's exactly 1 month later.. on January 21st, 2013.. which is still '2012' for the 'Godly' calendar.. if you want to call it that..

Could just be riff-raff, but I find it incredibly interesting :) Maybe because I already met Thor..lol A bunch of them are already here

How do you know that the Mayan people even used a calendar or let alone knew of one in its current existence atm? The only thing possibly remotely similar to such a device would be some type of sundial. Then again sundials only depict days/nights, not numerical days/weeks/years/etc.
