Your username is appropriate. We NEED meat. Blood is the lifeforce, we need it to live. You will wither away very quickly if you don't eat it. If you're doing it for "animal love" reasons or whatever, don't worry about it. If you're doing it for health, bad choice, it's healthier to eat meat.

Genesis 9:3

Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.

Romans 14:1-23

As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables.

2 Timothy 4:1-16

Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, who forbid marriage and **require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth**. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer. ...

Eat meat. It's good for you.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17951918

We're not vampires , we're humans.

Humans don't desire blood as you do.

If you had never eaten meat before and was brought to this planet, would you look at a cow with desire to eat it?

Probably not unless you're a freak. I mean what looks appetizing on a cow, really?

You only inherited your meat eating from your family, not because you have to eat red meat to survive. Think about it for a second.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7648822

I have thought about it. It's science. Blood IS the life force. DMT is in every living thing on this planet, and blood contains more of it than anything else. Eating things that were alive with BLOOD will get you more DMT and lead to longer life and more life inside of you.

This is why satanists or cults do blood sacrifices. The spirits they are sacrificing to need blood.

You don't see humans going around eating grass off of the ground like sheep do you? Of course not. By your logic though (you only "inherited" eating meat from your family), you only "inherited" buying food from a store or from other humans from your family, and we all should be eating grass off of the ground. We probably "evolved" to do it that way orginally in your mind though, didn'y we?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17951918

*coughs* ayuasca *coughs*

Terrance Mckenna died at 53, not that long of a life (probably fun as hell).

Science shows (in basic biology) that there is a huge loss of energy between the producers-primary consumers-secondary consumers and onward. It is more efficient to eat producers directly.

Finally, humans have to to create tools to kill, clean and prepare much of the livestock and game that are high in protein. If we had different teeth, jaws and muscles in our faces and jaws, then perhaps we wouldn't need these tools.

Re: becoming a vegan :) i need your suggestions
I can tell you as a long time vegetarian and vegan of 5 years that most of the supposed facts you hear about protein is absolute horseshit.

As humans, we need very little protein to survive, and any protein we take in needs to be broken down into its constituent amino acids before the body can utilise it. So any idiot that argues that we need meat or blood to survive is just emotionally attached to this idea and is talking out his arse!

If you think about it on a logical level, the time a human is growing at its fastest rate is as an infant. What is the food source? Well, ideally human milk. How much protein is in that milk? Only about 2.5-3.5%. Doesn't that make you think that all the hype about protein levels is way over emphasised!

see here for more:

[link to www.veganforum.com]

The number one question any veggo gets is "where do youget you protein?". I usually ask them the same question and get the response "from cow meat and milk". Ok, so where does the cow get the protein from? Hmmmmm, grass. So really you are getting second hand protein from grass. Wouldn't it be easier and more efficient to get the protein from plant sources to start with?

Think about it. How many carnivores/omnivores eat other carnivores? Where does a lion usually chomp on first...the stomach and intestines, since they can't process the plant matter themselves.

Anyway, I could go on but there are infinite sources on the web about this stuff. There are plenty of vego, vegan and even raw vegan bodybuilders out there, including pros.

You don't decide to be a vegan one day out of nowhere. Some stinky hippy strong armed you into thinking you should be a vegan.

Lets just get this straight from the get go... You're going through a phase, and a stupid one at that.

Yeah, great idea, starve yourself of essential protein that your brain and body needs and call it "healthy." We're meat eaters for a fucking reason. It takes an enormous amount of energy to power these brains of ours.

I live near Berkley and Santa Cruz, California. Home of the idiot vegan that eventually goes back to eating meat because they alienate themselves from any kind of normal gathering or function by having all these special, ridiculous food needs and schedules that everyone else has to fuckin adhere to. No one wants to deal with them anymore. Trust me!

^^ that info is worth 5 stars alone.

I agree with the source direct info, why eat the middle man (cows etc)? Go straight to the source yourself and get higher energy foods. You'll see the difference in a short time.

go for a short run and you 'll see how your vegan diet puts up with that. leopards eat meat. tigers eat meat. wolves eat meat. lions eat meat. eagle eats meat. bears eat meat. every powerful animal eats meat. if you want to reject your natural way of living go on.

I remind you that if any of the above animals stopped eating meat they would get extinct. well maybe some bears would survive by eating much honey and fruits, but those would not be the bears we know any more. those would turn to weak endangered kittens.

I am not a vegan, I eat meat.
All the animals you mentioned have to sleep a ton, because hunting the animals to produce the energy they need is resource intensive. If they could cultivate, they would be much more efficient.

Moreover, we are humans and not animals. We are not the same, so don't compare us.

Re: becoming a vegan :) i need your suggestions
I was as close to vegan as I could stand for about 7 years (had to have milk in coffee lol).

But guess what? I was in training at the time for rugby & boxing, was great for boxing because I was the tallest bantamweight in the comp, but was rather disastrous for rugby as I was so light & skinny that I got thrown around like a rag doll!

Be careful! It can fuck you up if you're not careful! Are you a good cook? (I wasn't, still not) because a good knowledge of cooking legumes ect can get you through it. Vitamin B will need to be supplemented, keep an eye on your liver function.

It was very good for my mind, made me very tenacious & determined, but also has the effect of making a person 'spacey.' Try not to engage in too much philosophical debate with people.

If you think it's a hoax and not science, how about volume. Compare an acre of livestock to an acre of corn, beans, grains, etc.

It is about energy, not economics, at least from where I am coming from.
 Quoting: luridanimus

In Australia, cattle walk around and eat scrubby grass. They don't get fed on corn. People can't eat that grass. So compare: as scrubby grass the land produces zero food for people. With cattle on it, the same land produces some food for people. Some is more than zero, so the land produces more food with cattle on it.

Lots of the cattle land in Australia can't be used to grow crops. It can be used for either growing cattle, growing kangaroos, growing feral pigs, or nothing. So should Australian people stop growing cattle and just go hungry? No of course not.

ivant A good thick juicy steak. I had a friend once who got caught up in Buddhism and went vegan/vegetarian. He had all sorts of health problems and could switch between nice guy and arsehole in the blink of an eye.
