hiya tbar, some cool image [ link to list.naa.net] A decent RGB image by B. Gährken shows that Jupiter's NEB has really faded a great deal woohoo , a rare event! Quoting: IwantToBelieve76 It will be interesting to see the planetary impacts if the Sun does go into a prolonged period of inactivity as many are suggesting. We just went from a very active Solar Cycle 23 to a very weak Minimum and weak Cycle 24. This would have to affect the entire Solar System. Fortunately, we now have excellent instruments to observe any changes. I want one of those 'portable' 1.8 meter scopes.
