Brazil builds together with Argentina a nuclear sub, and has operational enrichment plant without cameras of IAEA. It is seen as a no problem to world security. I wouldn't be surprised if Brazil is far more advanced than supposed.

Anyway, to be happy of the incident is not very helpful. The things in Syria go to escalation with probable use of Yakhont and other missiles. And we are not sure of what Assad's people (not even he) are ready to put inside, what they already have gotten. We know what Israel has, and what is stored in Incirlic base. So do we get WW3 as soon as the first serious rockets exchange fire between Syria, Israel and Turkey? WW3 follows its own rules and nuclear logic, pls check Wikipedia. There are several scenarios. Brazil as a world power. lol. how does brazil even come close to comparing to Russia, china, or India? besides starvation and poverty of course.

This entire thread makes it crystal clear why this planet is so fucked-up.

Even though Brazil may be a part of BRIC, Brazil still largely depends on the west for almost nearly everything, including its military (Even though it might have it's own military industry, it still largely depends on support from the west). So it's kind of silly to think Brazil would shoot itself in the foot if it tried anything against the west and it would sooner or later ditch Russia for the west if it came down to it.
