Democracy is a form of government in which all citizens take part. It is government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Socialism is where we all put our resources together and work for the common good of us all and not just for our own benefit. In this sense, we are sharing the wealth within society.

To a Democratic Socialist, sharing the wealth means pooling tax money together to design social programs that benefit ALL citizens of that country, city, state, etc.

I lived in Germany for 4 years....they like the health care, it's that pesky 50% income tax for single with no children that they don't care for....not free medical....the money is funneled through the gubment before it gets to the docs. Now if you happen to work for said gubment, you are one lucky bastard....my German friend told me the ministers get like 400 euro a year just for ties....the retirement is unreal...free car....free gas....free suits....

Police, Fire Dept. Military, Social Security, Medicare, WIC, Food Stamps, Library's, NASA, Postal Service...ect.

Medicare is doing fine, you can try using scare tactic if you want but there are millions of elderly who love this program.

Where would you be without your Police protection, Fire stations, Court Houses, Roads, bridges, Airports? All of these are programs paid for fully or in part with Democratic Socialist tax dollars.

As far as Obama taking 500 billion out of Medicare do your homework. That 500 billion was a give away to insurance companies it had no impact on healthcare.

Conservative media strikes again. The banks failed because they were bundling shitty mortgages up and selling them as
AAA bonds. When their house of cards collapsed they shifted all the cost to their lending banks which are federally insured. No one forced them to make any loans. With the housing market seemingly having no end they were more than happy to take anyone's money because they figured if the borrower defaults they still have a house which will only go up in value. If you want to bring up Clinton and the Fair Housing Act I suggest you look it up first. It states a lending institution cannot penalize someone based solely on their location. Banks previously refused credit to people who lived in poor neighborhoods just based on where they lived not on whether they could pay the loan back.

Fanny and Freddy had nothing to do with this Sub Prime mess.
