What OP has carefully not informed us of, is that Bermuda derives all of its considerable income from tourism, and FINANCIAL SERVICES.

It's primarily a fucking TAX-HAVEN! No wonder the money pours in from overseas!

The small population provides a tourism service industry, and a few of them juggle money of dodgy provenance in the shady banking system.
