I am NOT racial, but this happened to our neighborhood too. Almost the exact same way.
I am sick to death of the implied "free ride" in life if you are black.

There is something strange here. I feel the whites have been duped into "thinking" they really have the "life" when most whites work and pay taxes so the welfare recipients can get free food, rent, and medical care.
Whites work to supply goods and services to the ones who are on the "system". I have witnessed this first hand my whole life.
When a white person walks into the social services to ask for help, the whole atmosphere changes in the place. Like whites are not allowed to be in there.
I am not racial, but I call it the way I see it and experience it first hand.


Be warned if you whites need help. Most of the workers are not white, and they treat you so badly you want to cry because whites are programed to feel ashamed if they need help because we are NOT SUPPOSE TO EVER NEED HELP. We are suppose to be the ones to Provide the help, not need help.


God knows I have been put through more hell dealing with trying to get help from the so called "system". We did not "qualify" for help after paying in for over forty years.
Suffice it to say we were too morally normal, as we were
married and only had one child at home.

They actually told us we were one child too short to receive help.
The system is so broke and we are too tired to try and fix it. Period. Just too tired to fix it.

hmmmm. Im a black man. Im 3rd generation college educated. i own a business. i hold a state license in HVAC. i also work a full time job at a major airline. No one in my family (both sides) has ever been on welfare. Most of my friends (black) are educated, business owners, professionals. A few are millionaires, and not even 50 years old yet. We are property owners. Everything i have, my family has , and my friends and their families have, they have worked hard for. So this thread does not apply to me nor most of the other 'black' i know. Please people stop making generalizations.

I would never normally post on a thread like this, I hate divides and racism (though I am calling no one here racist, you all seem to bring valid points and experiences ) but man... I can't help but notice these same traits, strangely I agree, though I feel wrong for doing so.

I've been welcomed into some very nice homes with black families, but I've gotten fked over by the friends who've invited me over, every time. Once a promise of a professional high paid job, another over me lending the friend money that ended in him leaving the country a week later. I wish the signs I see here didn't lead to such negative conclusions..

It is a generalization, but that doesn't make it inaccurate. Stereotypes are wrong, not because they suggest a real condition, but because they suggest that the condition is universal. I know some succesful black people. They are good people. Do you know what I notice about them? They don't jive, they can carry on an intelligent conversation, they are either college educated or were raised in a trades family and taught a trade by their elders. I live in a fairly nice burb with low unemployment and an unusually high percentage of college graduates....but, I still see a lot of what the OP wrote about. There are whites doing it, too, but a much smaller percentage. The blacks who live in my apartment building work and are nice, but they have bad manners. They are loud and inconsiderate. They are messy. However, there is one black tenant who is quiet and polite. She is college educated. Generalizations obviously don't apply across the board, but what the OP suggests is real. And what about Africa? IT is the shithole of the Earth. You can't blame whites for it. Hell, if the British hadn't went in there would be no railroads...or even roads. It is a disaster of their own doing.

The ones who were smart enough and came from good loving families back in the day aned took advantage of the opportunities they were given are some beautiful people that I know.
