At about 4 minutes and 50 seconds of the video below, a spokesperson says

'experts believe about 4.8 million tons of Japan's Tsunami debris was swept away into the pacific ocean. About 30% is floating somewhere in the pacific.'

30% of 4.8 million tons is 1.44 million tons.

The number 1.44 seems apocalyptic. Doesn't it?

A few years ago Greenpeace or someone found a HUGE area of the garbage we dump in the sea that doesn't sink.
