OP it is really nice that you are observing your environment. The sun is behaving quite normally, however, for the season that we are enjoying. Continue to watch it and now that we have obsserved the summer solstice you will notice the days will draw shorter and eventually the sun will have moved sufficiently from its present postition down from the east north eastern location till it gets into the extreme east south eastern one.
