"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787 |

The racial profiling in Arizona is really not a good thing because it also would subject a lot of Native Americans in the area to profiling. That would equate to 34% of the population of Arizona being subject to racial profiling in addition to the racism which already occurs. |

I want to add that it's because of allowing so many different cultures and people into the US who want to change it is what is unconstitutional. Seems like people who believe in the U.S. Constitution are the ones who are being profiled and stereotyped now days too. Birthers, Republicans, Right Wing.... I think this is all part of a master plan to split the people in the US and start a nasty face-off, if not a war. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 14145506 United States 06/25/2012 03:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | DHS need to be disbanded and BANNED from the USA. It is an illegal, illegitimate agency! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6495420 the federal government is only allowed to execute duties specifically granted to them by the constitution. All other duties are relegated to the states, as such all the abc agencies not operating under state jurisdiction, are illegal, unconstitutional, and violate state sovereignty, because their existence and duty is not specifically named in the constitution. only the executive, judicial, and legislative branches of government are specifically given authority to operate and perform duty on our behalf. (we the people) And can only operate as a body controlled by the people and for the people (citizens) of this country. The constitution does not give those branches the authority to create and or form these agencies whenever they get the urge. These agencies should have been formed through amendments to the constitution, only after having been brought to the people and voted on and approved by the people and thus giving CONGRESS the authority to sponsor bills related to the agency which would then be signed or vetoed by the president then reviewed by the supreme court to verify it constitutionality |

Actually, I lived with a tribe out there and when the law was passed in Arizona, it was not greeted as being good at all. The Inter Tribal Council of Arizona and multiple individual tribes have spoken out about it. None of the tribes in Arizona are enforcing SB 1070 as only federal laws apply within the borders of their reservations. They have stated many times that the law can be used to generate civil rights violations against tribal members. You want the opinion of the tribes?
