I guess that the entire story is a scum to cover other stuff (radiation from the outside, so not from fukushima at all).

Re: Explain how it can be that Fukushima is not entombed already?
Gundersen is now saying they should be entombed.

Chernobyl was one reactor that exploded.
Fuku is three core meltdowns.. different animals.

They tunneled under the reactor at Chernobyl, flooded it to cool the core remnants, then entombed with concrete/boron below and from above with helicopters.

Fuku is a little different problem.

High water table, sedimentary rock, volcanic rock, extreme radiation from the melted cores [avg. 150 tons each].

If they devoted as much time to finding solutions as they have in developing a malfunctioning robot.. maybe they would have come up with a plan by now.

Throwing water on a meltdown is much like pissing on a forest fire.

Yep, if they covered it then it leaks underground forever.
China syndrome!
Some of us figured this out a few days in.
Currently there is no solution.. period.
If they cover it there never will be.

Chernobyl, FYI is ongoing, and the shell they put up temporary. There is a plan to put up a permanent one but lack funding from what I understand.

Get it?

Ugh, I was backing up your statement and answering the OP's question,,,
The reactors were built in a horrible location, we're on the same page. Relax.

Got it.

You must understand that I have been under attack since I began my
personal crusade against the incompetent use of nuclear technology..

Sometimes I jump the gun.
