Master Sgt. Says No To Pentagon. I Will Not Fight For This Country...In Chinese Made Boots!!
Master Sgt. Steve Adachi is willing to fight for his country, but not in the Chinese-made boots his unit gave him.

“I went back to the reserves supply warehouse and asked the supply manager why I was issued Chinese-made boots,” Adachi said. “He told me that they were less expensive as opposed to the U.S.-made ones. I urged him to reissue me U.S. boots, citing that I did not feel comfortable ‘going to war’ wearing boots made in China.”

After a flurry of emails, he asked his unit’s supply manager via email how he could exchange the boots for ones made in America. The response: “Good luck.”

Isn't the People's Liberation Army of China also responsible for building the flight attitude software for the F18 and F22 Raptors that have been falling out of the sky like rain lately?

We are being set up...nothing these treasonous shills do is by accident or random. Ike and JFK warned the sheep back in the 1960's that this day would come.

soldiers would risk their lives because they were told they are protecting 'freedom'. How well do you think they will fight if they knew they were fighting for someone's

“Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support has an ample supply of the standard Air Force green boots, as well as tan boots worn with the Army Operation Enduring Freedom Camouflage Pattern (OCP) uniform,” Schirmacher said in an email. “DLA Troop Support purchases products that we provide to the services in accordance with the Berry Amendment, and does not purchase combat boots or other uniform items made outside the United States.”

What happened was Adachi’s unit purchased two pairs of the boots from U.S. Patriot LLC in South Carolina.

Company president Paul Yoo doesn’t know exactly why Adachi’s unit wanted those boots.

We did once have a Constitutional government and we still can now if a majority of the 50 States call for a Constitutional Convention. So far 40 states have expressed their interest in taking back their power from the sold out Federal Government.

Unfortunately many of those Governors are also in on the take...but not all and not completely on the take. When it comes down to it, the US is governed locally in every distric by the county Sheriff. Arpio is a great example. If people woke up today and demanded a Constitutional Convention...the current banking cartels and their leaders would flee for their lives.

I agree with the Principle, but the grim reality of the situation is that you do not have the manufacturing to make these boots for the costs they are sourced in emerging economies.

If it were something else, then maybe the gentleman would have a stronger point, but the fact remains that there are no manufacturers in the Continental United States that can or will be able to provide the services these types of contracts require.

This type of cheap, no frill manufacturing is better done in places like China, they have the expertise now.

America just doesn't make this type of product anymore, some of you live in a dream world who think you even have manufacturing infrastructure that is viable today.

You just do not, and you really have to come to terms with that if you expect to move forward from the rut you are in.

One Communist party leader in China makes a deal with another Communist party leader in Washington D.C.. That must ve free trade to people in Slovenia...but I doubt it...your just a pentagon assliking shill. Seen you before.

The bad part is that it isn't made by the people of China and doesn't benefit them...it's made by the People's Liberation Army of Communist China which owns and operates 2 billion forced labor units.

Very few clothes or shoes are made in the US. Apparel is my business.

Makes the thought of a war with China/Russia a little scary.

Remember the stories of people wore clothes made from flour sack towels? Funny thing is today's flour sacks are made of paper.

Yep. Very few of anything is made completely in the US anymore. It's all by design to collapse the borders of sovereign nations and introduce a one world control system.

The Chinese are even making military software for the navigation systems in our F18 and F22's.

There is more to the story though. The boots that were issued to me in Afghanistan cost MORE than the price quote for American made tan boots at Schofield Barracks and Fort Shafter in HI. Thus, if he just sent me the American boots, he would have saved taxpayer dollars and been in compliance with the Buy American Act.

The company who sold the Chinese boots did make some incredulous claims "2 to 3 pounds" lighter than an American boot. This claim is false and could be easily dispelled. The supplier, "American Patriot" even went as far a stating that the boots were required to be a "composite toe" (I have the emails) which are only found in China. This too is untrue. US companies like Belleville manufacture composite toe boots and US Patriot didn't even send me composite toe boots in the first place.

Even more compelling is the Berry Amendment with the $150K minimum. My military organization in Hawaii purchased 150 pairs of boots from China for over ten thousand dollars which is, in my opinion, illegal. The reason why I suspect that it is illegal is that there was a congressional inquiry about Air Force boots ten years ago. The complaint was from American servicemen were issued boots made-in-China. Here is the link to the audit made by the DoD inspector general and by congressman Traficant from Ohio:

Re: Master Sgt.

My wife worked at Belleville Show Manufacturing until she was laid off (permanently) along with 95% of the people working there. They made all kinds of military boots and were there in Belleville IL making boots for many decades. The military members loved their boots and preferred them over any other manufacturer. It was a union company and the workers were all paid well. But the company moved its operation to a "right to work" state, Arkansas, in late 2008, leaving a skeleton crew to answer phones and clean up the loose ends. AFAIK, the plant is open there in Arkansas, but no doubt the pay has been chopped considerably since there is no union and workers there are at the mercy of some tough SOBs. My wife saw all the shenanigans that go on when factory workers are in a union place but the union did keep things civil. The pay was by piece work, more output equal more pay. My wife was exceptionally fast with a very low rate of returns (rejects by quality control) and made bigger checks than her bosses who became jealous and tried to fire her. Also, they had friends who wanted my wife's job. It was the union, even though weak, that stepped in reluctantly, and the bosses backed off. This happened twice in her last five years.
Sorry for rambling. Bottom line is that the USA has great workers who can make world class boots and did so for over fifty years in Belleville Illinois. Our state politicians have no balls as they could have prevented the move to "right to work" Arkansas but couldn't lift a finger.
