global warming for dummies
Had a discussion with one of my kid classes today on global warming. Right off the bat they believed so strongly that co2 was so evil. One kid even said

The Earth Is On Fire! . Can you believe it??

So here in a nutshell is the easy gist.

First plants need co2. More co2 means more plants..more oxygen for us.

Next methane is stronger. Co2 anyway is so weak.

Stronger still is water vapor.

That about sums it up and shouldn't have to spell it out further to anyone here.

Just had to vent. Thanks for listening.

Yep, and a simple equation against runaway warming:

Warmer climate = more water evaporation and precipitation = more clouds = Cooler climate !!!

See a cycle.

That's good I totally agree..at the local level. Globally more water in the air means more entrapped warmth too does it not. And still the cause needs to be addressed. And a pet peave of mine is to use weather and climate interchangeably. Not charging you however.

Re: global warming for dummies
we have reduced the number of plants and trees on this planet, so ofcourse there is less 'machines' converting co2 into o2.. and now its becoming detectable due to elevated co2 levels in the atmosphere, albeit only slightly.

what we now have is an enviroment where the plants that are here are going to thrive and correct itself.

and we have the companies resonsible for the removal of the plants and trees panicing thinking something bad is going to happen so they have made everything else that produces co2 a scapegoat to hide the true reason, but they didnt expect nature to correct it so quickly.

so you have this

cut down trees = more co2

more co2 = trees grow more rapidly

grow more rapidly = less co2

When things are changing above you need a good excuse, firmly rooted, to prevent people finding the truth.

There is global warming on Mars and other planets as well. Too many hummers on Mars maybe?

Global warming activists have been very quiet recently as we went through a cool period. No doubt as the temperatures starts to rise again they'll all be yelling "SEE, SEE! WE TOLD YOU!!!!".

Of course the correlation between Sun and planet have nothing whatsoever to do with it... or does it?

You're welcome.

Saturns rings are slowing down, new red spot on Jupiter, Jupiters moon Europa has a possible pole shift, Venus slowing down. Even our own pole is shifting quicker and quicker (some 45-50 miles a year now).

We have much denser plasma above us. The FTE between us and the Sun is now acknowledged and happening quicker than we thought.

Our entire solar system is changing. I remember looking at the Sun as a child and being able to stare at the yellow Star for a second or two before having to look away. Now I stare at a bright WHITE sun where even staring for a fraction of a second hurts.

Global Warming is an excuse, albeit a persistant one, to hide the obvious fact a LOT is changing. Not just on Earth but all around our planet.

Sure there nay be a variety of factors. BUT:
Before the Industrial Revolution – that is when society began to develop, use and rely on technology – carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere were at about 280ppm.

Today, carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere have increased to about 396ppm.

In order to put the current increase in carbon dioxide into context, look at the time of the fastest carbon dioxide rise in the past. In this case, it looks to be at about 130,000 years ago.

During this ‘rapid’ event, carbon dioxide increased from 198ppm to 287ppm (a total of 89ppm) over a period of 7,500 years.

Not only is the rate of current carbon dioxide emissions unseen in the last 400,000 years, the magnitude of the change is also incredible. We are now nearly at 400ppm.

We won't see the total effect of OUR efforts for many years because the earth can't react fast enough. But the damage is done. Weird weather is now the norm.

Remember Easter Island. Humans there thought they had unlimited growth potential there. Then a few hundred years later, they woke up and it was too late. It's too late already.

I'm not disputing it isn't happening. I'm disputing the cause of it being us.

Seeing as changes are happening everywhere this is a better explanation and ticks all the boxes (first written about in the 70's)...

Current PlanetoPhysical alterations of the Earth are becoming irreversible. Strong evidence exists that these transformations are being caused by highly charged material and energetic non-uniformity's in anisotropic interstellar space which have broken into the interplanetary area of our Solar System. This "donation" of energy is producing hybrid processes and excited energy states in all planets, as well as the Sun. Effects here on Earth are to be found in the acceleration of the magnetic pole shift, in the vertical and horizontal ozone content distribution, and in the increased frequency and magnitude of significant catastrophic climatic events.

There is growing probability that we are moving into a rapid temperature instability period similar to the one that took place 10,000 years ago. The adaptive responses of the biosphere, and humanity, to these new conditions may lead to a total global revision of the range of species and life on Earth.

Current, in process, geological, geophysical, and climatical alterations of the Earth are becoming more, and more, irreversible. At the present time researchers are revealing some of the causes which are leading to a general reorganization of the electro-magnetosphere (the electromagnetic skeleton) of our planet, and of its climatic machinery. A greater number of specialists in climatology, geophysics, planetophysics, and heliophysics are tending towards a cosmic causative sequence version for what is happening. Indeed, events of the last decade give strong evidence of unusually significant heliospheric and planetophysic transformations [1,2]. Given the quality, quantity, and scale of these transformations we may say that:

The climatic and biosphere processes here on Earth (through a tightly connected feedback system) are directly impacted by, and linked back to, the general overall transformational processes taking place in our Solar System...

I am not a huge conspiracy theorist but this is a case where every Government in the World wants to you look at the left hand so you don't see what's really going on with the right hand.

When you start looking at ALL the changes happening above us it is very clear Planet Earth is not the only object in our system to have noticeable changes.

apparntly the sun is going to turn into a red giant in a few months, give birth to a new planet and return to its normal state.. and we will get pushed a little more away from the sun when this happens, plants will die over decades and we will take mars place in the cosmos.

ofcourse i just made all that up.
