Re: Notes from an "alternate universe": July 18, 2012 - The Return of the Gods
chaol,

I have been aware of a "change" in reality for about 2 years now that coheres very nicely with the dreamworld you are describing. This sounds strange to even say but I feel like I've been waiting for this information, and it's not coincidence (as they say). Your responses and information resonates with me very strongly, and for some reason I believe you, (with a lower case b). I guess my question is, what is in store for those who can feel these changes occurring? I feel like I've changed into a more complete version of me since becoming aware of this, why is this? I cannot escape the feeling that something immense and earth shattering is coming, and it is halting me from making practical changes in my life. Any advice on how I can prepare and proceed as this transformation takes place/took place/will take place? Thanks

Hi.

By all means continue doing what you have been doing. Obviously, you're doing something right.

But please don't believe me. Pretend that I am a loser posting from someone's basement or a 3-headed jackal.

I don't actually know what I am talking about. It's all very random. In fact, I'm tied up in a loonie bin as we speak!

But if you find a shred or two, or a paragraph, or a page that resonates and allows you to see what is all ready inside of you then that's great.

As you know all of this, and more, I suppose it could be said that you are doing what's right for you.

The feeling of changing into a more complete version of yourself is an expanded awareness of what is there all ready. The cell becoming a hand becoming an arm and a body and a life and a thought again.

There is nothing to prepare, nothing more to do than what you are doing now. It is a transformation that waits for you to happen. It is not on a clock, or dependent on any thing.

Any road you take will lead there. If it takes longer, all the better because you are becoming more of yourself, picking yourself up along the way.

What is in store for those who can feel the changes? Probably not what you expect (as what you expect is satisfied in the imagining of it). Perhaps something similar, delivered to your perspective in a way that you can see yourself in it if you are looking...

...right before something else which makes you doubt that it is you. (Otherwise we would not seem to exist.)

The idea of complete and total enlightenment is a fantasy,
perhaps. It is among the worst things that could ever be, as it would be the end of life.

It is the nature of life to find new ways to fool itself into thinking that it is not all one thing, and that you are not nature nor everything that exists.

In essence, there is no transformation. We do not change into anything. We experience, you could say, different versions of what all ready is. This is why it waits for us. And it is a wonderful thing. There need not be one thing that changes into something else.

There need only be the illusion which is an ever-present friend.

Re: Notes from an "alternate universe": July 18, 2012 - The Return of the Gods
Chaol,

What is the best way for me to experience the most "expanded awareness of what is there all ready"? Thank you for your thoughtful responses, and patience.
 Quoting: Seeker34 1332276

Perhaps, that your perspective is you.

When you look at your past, consider those people (not just you, but everything in your past) to be you.. literally you.

When you look around in your present, consider those things "you" in a different space.

The more your center of perspective seems to move away from 'you' the more foreign it appears.

The keyboard you are typing on now is most relative for right now, until it's not anymore. Perhaps it is more relevant to you right now than a close far-away friend.

Everything in your perspective is you. "You" is infinite and beyond perspective, which is why you try so hard to perceive of your entirety. It appears infinite where infinity does not exist.

In order to perceive of yourself you must make it seem like you are not. That you are divided, separate. That this time and space is different from that time and space.

But the illusion is there so that we exist. If we did not perceive the illusion we would not perceive of that which is beyond perception, and we would not (appear to) exist.

See your perspective as an extension of you (all of it). And learn how to be okay with yourself (all of it).
 Quoting: Chaol

This reminds me of one reason I quit meditating. Inanimate objects started speaking to me. Now, it's a little easier to understand but how do I see these things as myself? Just decide it is or what?

How do I see myself in a keyboard? a desk? a pair of tennis shoes?

FYI: Some of us who follow Chaol, do some behind the scenes things at times. So, if you want to be included, you need to be in contact via email with some of us.

Either join GLP for a month and PM some of us or, I guess, post an email address here where we can contact you.

You will know if you are included because a private email or PM has gone out today to all those who are in contact with one another.

If you missed out, then it's up to you to figure out a way to be a part of it. You are definitely invited.

Re: Notes from an "alternate universe": July 18, 2012 - The Return of the Gods
hello Unit3

Had a download-weeks in summer/fall 2011.
Started like a dark night of the soul - spiritual experience without any intention. I was on diet, near fasting.
The information download/experiences
about the true consciousness/reality framework were a lot like what Chaols is talking about.
There is no space/no time. It´s always now. We are neither alive or dead - i´m this keyboard&pc.
The movie inception and others came to my mind..

I found chaols system in early 2012 but it seemed to be total bs (i could not believe it), although it would make a lot of sense to use a new language as thought-tool for this kind of exp. I was interested and kept searching.

my email is: [email protected]

Would love to be added to some form of newsletter or whatever you guys have in "perspective".

Re: Notes from an "alternate universe": July 18, 2012 - The Return of the Gods
Philip K. Dick also had a "download" that kept him writing thousands of pages of notes spread throughout filing cabinets, scraps of paper, and etc.

Somebody collected up those notes and published them in a collection called, "Exegisis".

There is an extract from the Exegisis named, "Tractates Cruyptica Scriptura".

[link to deoxy.org]

Look how closely some parts of Philip K. Dick's mystical experience follow what Chaol has been telling us:

The phenomenal world does not exist; it is a hypostasis of the information processed by the Mind.

We hypostatize information into objects. Rearrangement of objects is change in the content of the information; the message has changed. This is a language which we have lost the ability to read. We ourselves are a part of this language; changes in us are changes in the content of the information. We ourselves are information-rich; information enters us, is processed and is then projected outward once more, now in an altered form. We are not aware that we are doing this, that in fact this is all we are doing.

The changing information which we experience as world is an unfolding narrative.

Re: Notes from an "alternate universe": July 18, 2012 - The Return of the Gods
This is an aside for when Chaol comes back, if he ever does. Chaol mentioned in a post that "Abe to Pollonius" used a bed. Is that Abraham to Apollinus? Of Tyana? Because look at something very curious that Philip K. Dick also wrote in his Tractates:

Apollonius of Tyana, writing as Hermes Trismegistos, said "That which is above is that which is below." By this he meant to tell us that our universe is a hologram, but he lacked the term.

This may seem like a trivial question, but since I am reading the "Thrice Greatest Hermes" and have already read the biography of Apollonius of Tyana by Philostratus, it sure would be a wonderful thing if Chaol could comment on both Dick's mystical vision of Apollonius writing as Hermes, and on the great magician, Apollonius of Tyana.

Chaol is also welcomed to comment on Hermes, if he'd like. But, then that would probably make this question not trivial at all.

For the curious:

Chaol has mentioned that the 'Thrice Greatest hermes' trilogy is very notable. I'm reading the second volume currently as a result of his recommendation. The Poimandre (sp?) contributions are solid gold. It's a lot to digest, however.

I'm about to start reading some P.K. Dick as it is an (almost daily) recurring synchronicity for me. Thanks for posting about this!

Hey, that's great that you are also doing the reading!

I started at Page 1 of Volume 1 of "Thrice Greatest Hermes" and am reading all of it, including the footnotes. I get a nice feeling from the text.

Right now, I am still on the Greek translations of the Egyptian manuscripts, with comparisons and criticisms of the thinking of the Hellenistic period.

"I am You. You are me". How heavy is that?

It's the study of the Kabbalah. The Tree of Life. The tetragrammaton. Probably represented by the same tree we visit in the dreamworld meetings. The root of mind.

Do you see us as a mind then?

 Quoting: U3

I see Mind as a field.

Seth wrote a sentence or two on this in one of his books, an idea to which I was exposed a couple decades ago. This set me to considering things, and this basically is how I see Mind. It is wide open to whatever impressions one wishes to stamp upon it.

Chaol also writes in one of his posts that what we actually "see" is similar to the interruption signal between channels on the TV. It is the screen where there is no picture, but there are millions of pixels appearing to vibrate. This imagery jibes with what I have come to understand. The sound of static over an AM radio when changing stations may be another version of this "field".

It is my opinion that the Kabbalah correlates with what Chaol has been teaching. The Kabbalah is simply a different way of diagramming the movement from non-physical to physical. But, then, this is my unlearned view of the Kabbalah.

Wow! Good stuff....and I was just looking at his books at Barnes & Noble yesterday. I didn't know why, they just stood out to me! There were a bunch of them too.

Whoops! Just looked at the link. Time is generated by a tight grasp of duality! I guess he might mean darkness as duality, I dunno. I haven't gone far in this link, just thought I'd mention it.

dudes, for real. After my 30 minute bike ride I do a couple time each week I was stretching out on the porch as I usually do, and let me tell you...I felt like I was in a semi-dream. You know, that dreamy/awake state just before you fall asleep. Dudes, I was there. I was about to run and goof around thinking it was a dream. I was almost there.

I don't quite understand what we are. It seems non-existence and illusion are the choices, LOL! Yet, how can I resist if I don't have a mind? How can I learn if there is not someone here to make decisions and choices? Why does Chaol feel we can help merge the 2 worlds faster if he helps us understand better how to cross the bridge?

And if it's all illusion, then how am whatever I am able to choose to perceive illusion?

This is a great story. Thanks for sharing.

Do you think it had anything to do with having more oxygen streaming through your system? A good meditation begins with oxygenating your system with slow, deep breaths. That almost immediately puts me into that "twilight" state. Maybe you got the same effect with an aerobic workout?

To reach the dream state while "awake" is a goal for me. You may have helped give a hint as to how to do it!

I know which line from the link you are talking about. It caught my attention, too.

I could have sworn that Chaol wrote something like: "the tension between dark and light causes time". If he wrote this, I cannot find it again. If Chaol did not write it, then I must have read it somewhere else.

I have mentioned in another post about how there is something to Horus-on-the-Horizon at dawn and twilight, but that I cannot pinpoint exactly what it is that fascinates me about this.

I can speak on only this much: there is a change in atmosphere when the sun is just below the horizon, either rising or setting. There is an interlude that is like an introduction or a prelude to a change in perspective. One perspective is ending as the sun sets, and another is beginning as the sun rises. The changes in perspective are "night" and "day". That is, light and dark.

Consider this: if you lived in outerspace or in the center of the Earth, there would be no dawn or dusk. There would be no time.

An Invocation to Hermes as the Good Mind

Come unto me, thou of the four winds, almighty one,
who breathest spirit into men to give them life;

Whose name is hidden, and beyond the power of men to speak;
no prophet [even] can pronounce it;

Yea, even daimons, when they hear thy name, are fearful.

Thou, whose tireless eyes are sun and moon,
[eyes] that shine in the pupils of the eyes of men.

Thou, who hast the heaven for head, aether for body,
earth for feet, and for the water round thee ocean's deep!

Thou the Good Daimon art, who art the sire of all things good,
and nurse of the whole world.

Thy everlasting revelling-place is set above.

Thine the good emanations of the stars, - those
daimons, fortunes, and those fates by whom are given
wealth, good blend [of nature], and good children, good
fortune, and good burial. For thou art lord of life.

Thou who art king of heavens and earth and all
that dwell in them;

Whose righteousness is never put away;
whose Muses hymn thy glorious name;
whom the eight Wardens guard,
thou the possessor of the Truth, pure of all lie.

Thy Name and Spirit rest upon the good.

Mayst thou come into my mind and heart for
all the length of my life's days, and bring unto
accomplishment all things my soul desires!

For thou art I, and I am thou.

Whatever I speak, may it for ever be;
for that I have thy Name to guard me in my heart.

At the time, it made perfect sense. Evil vs Divinity is the ultimate dualistic perception.

whom the eight Wardens guard,
thou the possessor of the Truth, pure of all lie.

Thy Name and Spirit rest upon the good.

Mayst thou come into my mind and heart for
all the length of my life's days, and bring unto
accomplishment all things my soul desires!

For thou art I, and I am thou.

Whatever I speak, may it for ever be;
for that I have thy Name to guard me in my heart.

what's insufficient about it?

Btw, if you get banned again, is there some way we can email each other?

To put it another way, the old definitions for "Evil vs. Divinity" do not fit into this course of study.

Please look at these concepts again in the light of what we are learning in these threads.

that's the point....one will not be open to what we are learning here if they are caught up in that duality.

I have been banned thirty times. The longest ban-time was 90 days. This is a regular occurrence. I always get back onto this forum. For awhile.

I would rather keep conversation out in the open. My apologies if this looks like resistance. I would like for Chaol to be aware of all discussion that is occurring. I highly doubt that he would participate in a private emailing session.

We have other options:
[link to ecworksheet.blogspot.com]

We also have a yahoo group.

Chaol said it's normal for us to break into smaller groups. Whether he would join the conversations or not, I don't know.

But, I'm thinking of these things in addition to here...and esp. if you get banned again.....and only while you are banned.

But, it's all ok.....I've just enjoyed having someone to discuss this stuff with...besides myself.
