Yes, my bet is on preparing for an e.q. on the New Madrid. Doesn't mean they know when, but everybody knows it's going to go off sometime. No way out of St. L without crossing a river unless you head south which is toward New Madrid and even worse damage. Can you image what would happen in a city the size of St. Louis if there was a major e.q.? Total chaos. I hope they have a plan!

I live in st Charles right across the blanchette bridge (on the other side of bridge is st Louis county) and havr noticed military vehicles on I-70 lately. Ill take a pic the next time i see one. I will also be in st Louis on the river front the weekend following the fourth for the fair. I will take pictures.

Id also like to note im moving to the country this weekend (thank god) and will be buying a gun.

I served in the military, in Hawaii and yes we did train all over the islands. We used to close the beaches, and use them all the time. The locals used to drive by and throw us beers, while we were training. While this has increased, it really isint new to see the military training among the populace. When you see the blue helmets you can start to worry, as none of the marines I trained with would kill American citizens at home. The actually asked us that question, and go a resounding hell no. Granted, the military has changed much but the Marines would be fighting at your side if the UN tried any shit here. We hated the UN, and still do..
