If this strain of bird flu gets on to the poultry farms we will lose billions. The less scary form of this H5N3 was the reason Taiwan killed nearly every farm bird in their country on 2004. If this is the highly contagious version it will spread to migrating birds and be carried all over. [ link to www.enotes.com]
