fuck it. I know most of you aren't volcanotards, but I need your help here.

that chart, from El Hierro was posted earlier, and i'm slightly freaking about it. can't get any decent answers in the el hierro thread.

here's that thread btw..

Thread: Best El Hierro Thread On GLP - Canary Islands - ACTIVITY HAS RETURNED - AGAIN! (Page 288)

(that chart above was posted in the first post on that page)

look at the energy shown on that chart

3.2e+18

that is HUGE

it's the equivalent of an 8.2 quake, or between 2-3 billion tons of tnt, and it has ALL built up in the past 84 hours according to that link.

I am using this link for those figures..

i NEED reassurance please.

i don't like big numbers like that!

Please tell me I am reading it wrong.

PLEASE!

WOW, that build up last year took months to get that high, and all the earthquakes are still at 20km deep. That is a lot of pressure building. Sorry op, from what I know, you are correct. If that keeps going without a release, KADOOM!

It explodes at approximately 2.162719e+19 joules.

So about 4.22e+5 more.
