My ex wife visited my mom

Question is: does your mother think its strange? Mothers have good instinct.

Is it possible your mom just got diagnosed with a serious illness and doesn't want to worry you just yet? Women who care about each other will comfort one another with illness ... no we are not ALL about the money. I loved my ex-mother-in-law and miss her far more than I ever missed the ex.

I was thinking that too, or moreso that your ex-wife may be sick and felt more comfortable telling your mother than you directly? Hope neither are ill, just was my first thought.

Why is it so hard to believe that they had care for each other?
