Fires go out when they want to . The Maffs are over rated and air craft put on an air show. They rarely do much to put out huge forest fires. The military is just using the fires to justify their programs. The air craft are the most visible ,so the public thinks they actually are putting the fire out. It is boots on the ground that count .

H sais a fire that size had to have aerial suport or it would not be contained until it ran out of things to burn. So I don't know what to believe. But I think the MAFFS are definitely needed with a fire this large.
