Re: Man Eats Uranium, Drinks and Swims In Reactor Water, Ignites Plutonium In His Bare Hand,
Galen Winsor already debunked here...in 2003...

[link to www.fusor.net]

"Yeah I've met him.
I put him in the Bob Lazar school of stunt showmanship.
Idiots can do all those things.
They won't die immediately from them.
He rambles way too much and is about as welcome these days as a copperhead at a pik-nik . The nuclear industry used him as a stunt dummy to try to dispell the dangers in nuclear power.
To no avail. The folks they were trying to reach had few brains anyway. Besides any moron could break free of rational thought in the sixties. It's no big mystery but you can swim in a triga reactor pool provided you don't dive. They run at low power usually..about 1 watt to preserve the fuel rods. People have fallen in and survived with little damage. If you look at any training reactor site you will find rescue rings all over. Most triga reactor have pools that are in the 15 foot range at 1 watt the neutron range is low say 3 ft. .. four feet max.
Spent rods about the same risk!
Most intact spent fuel rods emit mostly beta particles with some gamma rays. Betas can be effectively be stopped by two feet or less of water. The water is distilled in rod storage pools and beta and gamma irradiation does not screw up the water one little bit! The only thing that would make that water unpotable is if the fuel rod had cracked releasing raw fissile products into the water.
Ala Silkwood!
Most waste pools are 20 feet deep... so swimming on the surface would be a fairly safe stunt. Even with the glowing stuff below.
Gotta keep the kids safe ya know!
Low quantities of urainium oxide is pretty harmless if unirradiated.
You can't dissolve uranium oxide in stomach acid...takes fuming red nitric to do the trick. In a few days you have radiactive poo.
Just as dangerous as eating dirt in Arizona or Colorado.
It's the lungs not the gut where the highest risk occurs.
The lungs can not expell tiny particulates under a micron. ...."

Re: Man Eats Uranium, Drinks and Swims In Reactor Water, Ignites Plutonium In His Bare Hand,
As a similar pioneer in the field, my professor (who also shall remain an anonymous coward) can account for similar experiences when it comes to regulation of the nuclear industry. It begins with limiting this magical made up number that would potentially be harmful to humans.

Galen stated that it was absurd how limiting the dosages actually were. 2 Sieverts an hour (2Sv/H) is what is commonly referred to as toxic exposure. This information is a relatively modern invention that was birthed over a hundred cases. Originally though, when this limitations were enacted this data was not present. And according to Galen directly - was not necessary.

My professor, Galen, and I are also of a like opinion that these new "restrictions" were the governments attempt to control a new, potentially extremely lucrative, commodity.

It makes sense for for government to store, or stockpile the plutonium. Not because government is notorious for gathering boat-loads of high price materials, they wanted to control the value of this "waste."

Could you imagine what would potentially happen if people went out and gathered all of these radioactive particles that have been ejected by Fukushima?

They could be millionaires!

I do think that Galen is bat-shit crazy to swim in the fuel pools. Oh, and completely off his rocker to even SAY (let alone actually DO) that he drank water from the pools. There is sound evidence that supports this being a very bad choice.

When it comes to nuclear physics though, we're all a bit crazy though. I bet to pioneer it, you'd have to be the creme-dala-crazy.

Apparently radioactive material isn’t as dangerous as the EPA has made it out to be.

YouTube Link:

[link to www.youtube.com]

In the video, you can watch Galen lick a pile of highly radioactive uranium off the palm of his hand and ignite a chunk of plutonium into a shower of flaming dust. The guy also drank reactor cooling pool water for fun and liked to go swimming in the pool to relax. He also spiked the basement flooring of his own home with enough radioactive material to send any Geiger counter reading off the scale to disprove the fear mongering surrounding radon at the time.

First of all - this guy works for the gov't, enough said.

But also - how do we know it is uranium he is licking?

Do you think that the audience would remain in the room if someone ignited a piece of plutonium inside?

Do you have a link to a vidoe of him swiming in the reactor pool or of him spreading nuclear waste in his basement?

What do you think about the fact that Chris Busby and his INDEPENDENT colleagues nuclear physicists claim that uranium reduces fertility in humans?

I'm sorry, but this is an absolutely stupid lie. Why would you post this? I knew Galen Windsor. He lived to be 82 and died of natural causes (with Parkinson's complications.) I am an eye witness at his lectures and knew him for years and had many hours of interesting conversation with him. He was a good and very educated man and he was not a charlatan by any means, and lived a full and healthy life. He never displayed any symptoms of anything that people would consider to be caused by "radiation sickness."

People should get past their urges to troll the forums and actually listen to what Galen is saying. The establishment has lied to us about what radiation levels are harmful.

Re: Man Eats Uranium, Drinks and Swims In Reactor Water, Ignites Plutonium In His Bare Hand,
First of all - this guy works for the gov't, enough said.

He did not work for the government. He used to work for GE until he couldn't anymore due to the fact that he wouldn't lie for them anymore about nuclear radiation. They didn't like that very much.

But also - how do we know it is uranium he is licking?

We knew it was because he had a Geiger counter, and he welcomed anyone else with their Geiger counters to come up and measure it. The Geiger counters went crazy - I watched and heard this. I was an eye witness at this lecture and others.

Do you think that the audience would remain in the room if someone ignited a piece of plutonium inside?

Yes. Why do I think this? Because we remained in the room. He explains what the "flash" is. If it is further confusing you can also listen to this interview: [link to www.blogtalkradio.com]

Do you have a link to a vidoe of him swiming in the reactor pool or of him spreading nuclear waste in his basement?

I don't believe that he ever spread nuclear waste in his basement. He never told us anything like that. He did tell us about swimming in the pool that they cooled the rods in. He also drank a glass of this every day for as long as he worked there to prove a point. No, we don't have a video of this. It was part of the information he shared with us. I knew Galen Winsor to be a truthful man. He had to be. When you present information like this and are in the public eye you get scrutinized. He had his act together and could answer any questions put to him. He was the real deal.

If he worked for the gov't, maybe he had an antidote that we don't know about.

He did not work for the government. I knew him and his family for a long period of time. He was a normal guy who was an educated nuclear physicist - and that's all he was. He lost his career over this whole thing. The establishment doesn't like it when you expose the lies.

And lasty - there was absolutely no need for an antidote. There were no harmful effects.

Re: Man Eats Uranium, Drinks and Swims In Reactor Water, Ignites Plutonium In His Bare Hand,
Apparently radioactive material isn’t as dangerous as the EPA has made it out to be.

YouTube Link:

[link to www.youtube.com]

From the video notes:

Galen Winsor is a nuclear physicist of renown who worked at, and helped design, nuclear power plants in Hanford, WA; Oak Ridge, TN; Morris, IL, San Jose, CA; Wimington, NJ. Among his positions of expertise he was in charge of measuring and controlling the nuclear fuel inventory and storage.

Galen Winsor has traveled and lectured all over America, spoken on national talk radio, and made several videos exposing the misunderstood issues of nuclear radiation. He shows that fear of radiation has been exaggerated to scare people … so a few powerful people can maintain total control of the world’s most valuable power resource. Filmed by Ben Williams in 1986.

Galen surmises the regulations and fear mongering that surround radioactive materials are in place to prevent the widespread adoption of nuclear power in local small scale neighborhood/home based reactors. Galen also points out that hot nuclear “waste” can be effectively turned into a safe power source through thermionic conversion, which is how the U.S. submarine navigation network was powered. The heat it gives off can also be used to safely heat homes.

He points out that nuclear “waste” is worth roughly $10 million (in 1986 dollars) a ton if it were to be reprocessed to collect its useful isotopes, so all of this talk about trying to bury it is a sham. He says the power companies are holding all the waste with the intent of playing the plutonium futures market. The “waste” could be stored above ground in already constructed buildings meeting all the regulatory requirements without the need to have these outrageous basalt mines dug into mountains. The only reason he can think of for these underground vaults is to hide bodies/evidence that the state doesn’t want uncovered.

At its core, he says federal controls over nuclear material is about maintaining power and control over the masses through the denial of self-sufficient power sources. Obviously if one had a personal sized power source that was cheap and efficient, they wouldn’t need to be connected to the “grid” for anything. The power grid is the control grid our rulers use to keep us under their thumbs.

He also says Three Mile Island was an intentionally created disaster, and that a core meltdown could not melt its way deep into the Earth.

Re: Man Eats Uranium, Drinks and Swims In Reactor Water, Ignites Plutonium In His Bare Hand,
Galen Winsor did a few interviews with Tom Valentine back in the 90's. I don't think he is alive today. He worked in the Nuke industry and had no physics degrees, just hands on experience.

He says a lot of things that indicate that the way nuke energy is treated in public discourse is disinfo; however, there is no fucking way that I want to live anywhere near a nuke plant. Nor do I want to raise my family on land that has been shot up with depleted uranium ammunition.
