Would you please verify that claim by pointing to a government website where it is written?

You can one star this all you want, it doesn't make it any less true. I'm an ex-banker and I have intimate knowledge of the Federal Reserve System, and you don't have to pour through the entire Federal Reserve Act to find this info, it's out there. Also, Govt Chartered Companies like the Fed, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac, Farmer Mac, Etc always recieve 99 year charters...

Companies are not given permenent charters, not by the states, or the Federal Government, and for it to be legal, 99 years is the maximum term of a leasehold, which is what a Charter to do business is...

2/3 of the States must ratify this for it to be re-chartered, at least according to the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. For a state to ratify, the State House must vote on the act or amendment...

Since the dollar has lost 90% of it's purchasing power since the Federal Reserve took control of monetary policy, their charter should not be renewed.

I guess it's just because it's getting so close, and no one is doing anything, makes me wonder if they won't try to quickly pass another act in congress in the dark of night rather than undergo the prescribed ratification process...

A little research shows that only an act of congress can abolish the fed. So far it seems that the charter was increased from twenty years to perpetuity.

No Charter can be perpetual, 99 years is the maximum term of any legal leasehold, that is established legal precedent from all the way back in the 1800's, and a Business Charter is a Leasehold...

Also, a quick check of the Federal Register reveals no extension of the Federal Reserves Charter...

I'm not trying to be argumentative, if you can find something where they extended a twenty year charter in the congressional record, I would be glad to see it, I just can't find it. Also according to all information I can find, the Federal Reserve Act says that the Charter is the "Maximum Allowable by Law", which as I said is 99 years...

Pop me a link if you find something different though, it's hard to find the original text of the Federal Reserve Act, even in the Congressional Record, all you get is the synopsis...
