QUESTION: How much money does the African American womens hair straightning industry make every year

White girls straighten their hair too.
I know I have burn scars to prove it.

I spend about $30 a month to keep it looking good.

there's good money in this business, but not as much as in permanent waves for straight-haired women, i'm guessing.

Here a question why is it that black women want to have straight hair like white women. Deep down they are ashamed of their afro hair and even though they say they are proud black women they are lying to themselves. Afro hair is not attractive.

When I was in Kenya I couldn't help but notice the elaborate hair styles on all of the native women. I asked my friends wife the cost & she told me they spend at LEAST $50 a month on their hair!

Actually a lot of white women curl their hair to get it CURLY, not to make an afro you dumbfuck. An afro is NOT nice beautiful curls, its dried out naps fluffed into a fucking sphere. And maybe some white women like black dicks but more latin women do so whats your point? Don't find it funny that less and less BLACK women like it? I'm a retired hairdresser and could NEVER understand why black women spenD all this time and money on 'straight' hair.....!!!!!!

good grief......just think what it'd amount to in just a year! and what they could do with it......maybe even start a mutual fund or SOMETHING for their financial future.

But no, I think the real reason is that they want to be 'white' in one respect: their hair.......

I know someone on here said that it was the opposite; that white women curled their hair to be 'black' HUH? I see no resemblance between a nice perm on a white woman and the natural Afro of the black woman.
