The footage is taken on Greta Beach, Christmas Island, by Paul Nicholas of Queensland. He was holidaying on Christmas Island, visiting his daughter and family and they went for a picnic on the beach. The kids started playing with all the plastic trash and were amazed to find turtles struggling to emerge from their nest to the waters edge. The turtles were hemmed in by tonnes of man-made rubbish - mainly plastic bottles, bags, nets and thongs. . [link to www.news.com.au] I can't find anymore on this story. I suppose there wont be anymore. Just thought I would let you all know.  |

It's been sighted in the Alletuians, just wondered if any of it went south, too....scheduled to hit the Northwest and Cali coast sometime this fall I believe....
