Double taxation.. or taxation without representation, those people have already been taxed on that income.

This is where the IRS SWAT team comes in, literally, guess it's time people who actually have anything left to start doing revokable gifts to the heirs, selling off non-essentials at lawn sales or auction, etc. and start buying food, supplements, gardening supplies, water filtration, etc. and start taking vacations, etc. while you can.

I have $200,000 saved for retirement. But my annual income is under $16,000. As far as I can figure, I will be totally subsidized. But not sure.

I just hope that I don't have to give my savings of 45 years of back breaking work to insurance companies...

same as what happens to old people who need long term care and have assets and therefore don't qualify for medicaid. they have to sell their assets and self pay until they paid down their assets to nothing and then they can apply for free healthcare. future gov long term care will be a bitch. any health care will be a bitch for that matter, death panels will become reality because the cost of long term care will be immense and families who shoulder the care for their elders will be worn out.

Diversify your assets. Have a trust. If you are old and becoming ill put the assets in your childrens names (unless they are assholes and will then thr.ow to the curb)
