No it wouldn't, the problem is that drugs are illegal and it raises the prices. This is how gangs make money, because if all drugs were legal (to an extent, NOT sold in stores but legal to have NOT make) the prices of drugs would be dollars an ounce instead of hundreds per ounce, the gangs would then have to work for their money like everyone else instead of get it quick and easy and they wouldn't have the funds to buy guns and take over territory either.

Gang violence is caused by artificially high drug prices, if guns become illegal the same thing will happen with them, making the gangs richer, and MUCH MUCH more powerful (they will know that only cops have guns, everyone else is defenseless and easy to kill or steal from)
