This is STUPID.

A very poorly written story.

But it says this:


He handed her his EBT card.

“I said to him, ‘Do you think that the man in line behind you and the lady behind him want to buy you your cigarettes?’ And he said ‘Yes.’ Then he said, ‘Give me back my card.’ And I said, ‘Give me back my cigarettes.’”


First of all - NOWHERE does it say she refused - it just says that she was outspoken about him using the card for cigarettes, so he asked for the card back and she then asked for the cigarettes back.

BFD.

So her manager calls the gov and is told it's legal to use the card for cigarettes.

And the cashier GAVE NOTICE that she was quitting.

Then the guy's mother goes into the store and the cashier is outspoken, but there was no absolutely refusal to actually sell the cigarettes.

And then . . . some other guy comes in and the cashier tells him to "get a job".

Then she was fired.


WHAT THE HELL kind of story is this and why is everyone so upset about it?

I am 100% against ANYONE on welfare using money to buy beer, cigarettes, etc.

But this story is convoluted and makes very little sense - but more absurd than the story is the fact that people are actually GIVING money for this!!!


You don't know the exact story.
You don't know this woman.
You don't know who started the donation fund.
You don't know who will actually get the money.


Sheer lunacy in the world.
