General, eh? Here's a little more specific.

Your goal in life was a family. Every time that "special someone" showed up, she was taken away just as quickly as she came. The years creeped up, and as the face you saw in the mirror, day after day, grew increasingly forlorned, you realized that a family simply wasn't in the cards. Life had a different plan for you.

but intuiivly you chose "The Road: cause you think those nuts, the "normals" are out to get you cause you aint got a clue what good all your 'experiences' are good for.

You are not getting your own so you want someone out there to prove and validate cause you dont trust your own but you dont know onsciously that you will NEVER accept someone else's words because they are not your experiences and you even doubt your own experiences
it is catch 22 in real life
You wake up and you got it for about 2 to 5 seconds then it just evaporates leaving you frustrated
