Emeline User ID: 19040652 New Zealand 07/03/2012 07:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just FYI, I would trust readings from New Zealand's geologic agency (www.geonet.org.nz) rather than the overseas websites. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9434416 USGS and others tend to underestimate our NZ earthquakes. I was told by Geonet the USGS use a different scale, 1 point lower than ours, in other words what Geonet reports as a 7 the USGS would report as a 6. |
