Eggcellent Re-Instate Smith-Mundt! User ID: 13043121 United States 07/03/2012 12:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yep... Sad indeed. One of the good ones. From a simpler time when most people were still good people. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19044611 No, from a time when people were docile idiots who believed everything they were told. We were not docile idiots! But, back then, we COULD believe what we were told - people told the truth, and considered other people's feelings before they spoke. And it didn't need to be "legislated" or PC-correct. Children were taught by their parents that if they were lost or scared they could find a policeman to help them, and it was more than likely he'd be gentle and kind like "Sheriff Taylor". Compare it to the police now, who all dress like The Terminator with morals to match. Neighbors looked out for each other, and each other's kids. Youngsters could go out to play after breakfast, and other than checking in for a quick lunch (we always seemed to know when it was lunchtime) be gone until dusk, and parents knew they were safe. I wish the World were more like "Mayberry" now. Back when we were growing up, it WAS like Mayberry. Sad that today's kids won't ever know the pleasure of a long, lazy summer afternoon, going down to the "swimmin' hole", or dropping by the drugstore for an ice cream soda or a root beer float. Goodbye, Andy, we'll miss you. Maybe you saw what a crap-hole this World has become and decided that you just didn't want to be here anymore. They give much the Jewish Race a bad name, as much as Chabad, and much Rabbi's, who haven't stopped jewish people from marrying Cousins and 2nd Cousins. Stop the practice of Rabbi's allowing jewish people to marry Immediate relatives. This must be stopped! plus the following jewish people give jewish people a bad name: 1) Kapo jewish people (many work for USDOJ as Federal Judges and Federal Prosecutors) 2) Sell Out jewish people (many of #4 too!) 3) Non Stand Up jewish people (many of #1 too!) 4) Welfare Crap System Parasite Sucking jewish people (Many Hasidic/Russian/Religious jewish people) 5) Liar jewish people 6) Con/Fraud jewish people. plus cousin marrying jewish people of 1st and 2nd cousin Marrying jewish people. Give jewish people a bad name. Same Socialigical Climate of Germany (1932->1945), now in Amerika especially in the Long Island/NY metro area. The Real "Kronos"..(1957 Movie) |

Vision Thing User ID: 15578810 United States 07/03/2012 12:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was really interesting and dramatic, Andy Griffith was a guy who had been taught to shoot by this guy when he was a kid, then this old man was so bitter in his old age about WWII, that Andy Griffith researched and looked up the incident and found out it was German soldiers dressed in stolen American uniforms that had insulted him and shot him. Also the elderly black guy had been a sharpshooter super marksman but only allowed to work as a cook by the Army. I only saw it once but thought it was really good. Very sorry to hear he is gone, he seemed like a real guy, people were different when I was a kid, much more substantial in their interactions it seems. |

We'll miss him, along with Goober, who also passed away in May: [link to www.youtube.com] RIP However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24 "This man really is the Savior of the world!" John 4:42 Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, " says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:7 |

[link to 1933key.com] lib or conservative, The Andy Griffith Show iteself was one of the most important pieces of the 20th Century. Symbolic of the horrors we are facing today, Mayberry really is gone, and the America that went with it. |

YOU GOTTA GOTTA GOTTA GET THIS AND WATCH IT. REALLY IMPORTANT PIECE OF SOCIAL COMMENTARY AND AN OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE BY GRIFFITH. Who can forget "Lonesome Rhodes?" NOT a comedy. And for his best comedy - watch No Time for Sargeants. Griffith's comedic acting at it's best. One of my top 5 comedy's of all time. |

He always came to the Kentucky Derby to sing "My Old Kentucky Home" but this year they just played a recording of him singing and said he couldn't attend because of health reasons. Apparently he lives in Hawaii nowadays. I would recommend Jim Nabors Reader's Digest collection for anyone who appreciates one of the greatest voices in the WORLD. It has everything from The Holy City, to Rock-a-Bye My Baby (with a Dixie Melody.) |

Rest In Peace Sheriff. Quoting: de38always Ahhhh yes. My children really enjoy his show. My daughter says why don't they make shows like this anymore mom? Don't worry some smart Hollywood exec will probably launch a new series based on the Andy Griffith show. The "new" show will be called Mayberry and it will be a gang town with a high crime rate and crack houses with a tough new sherriff in town. The new Andy Taylor played by Stone Cold Steve Austin and Barney played by the Undertaker. Opps. I shouldn't give them any ideas. |
