I have my doubts about GLD and Gold Backed 401k's, primarily because of the use of "Gold Leasing" which amounts too, "I'll give you a kick back if you let me use your gold on my books."

So I have my doubts about how much metal stocks GLD, SLV, and the Gold Backed 401k's and IRA's really have...

What has been happening since 2008's crash is what is more alarming. Is that right that Obama has racked up 5.3 Trillion debt in 3 1/2 years? While we're at it, Bush, "W" racked up Trillions as well but am not sure of the number of top my head. But the trend is clear, and speeding up apparently. What exactly are they spending all that money on? Do you all understand how much ONE trillion is, let alone the close to 100 Trillion our government has spent or owes?

I guess those underground cities and seed vaults cost a lot more than they originally thought!

It is not really a question of paying it back. Payback is not the problem.

If I had, let's say, some freeze dried food and someone came up to me and offered me cash for it, and I said NO because to me the food was more valuable, the cash would loose it's value. When the future looks black enough, and people become convinced that things they have in hand are more valuable than stupid green pieces of paper that Old Baldy prints up in his cellar, cash looses value and keeps loosing it fast. Then it collapses. This will be aided by foreign countries helping it crash by many of the things they are already doing.

If you ask me, it is only a matter of time. I still have a few million Deutschmarks from my grandmother which were and are still are - worthless. Get my drift?
