As much as the pirate in me wants to mourn the death of one of my favorite means, I have to salute those who shut it down.

Look, for instance, two movies in a row, after the shutdown, make box office records. Hunger Games and Avengers. They did not deserve their positions as top box office films, but they showed a revival in the local theater.

I appreciate that most of all. For those who cannot afford to view these movies, it is a whole hell of a lot harder to obtain bootlegs.

I am happy to see one part of our economy doing better whilst those who are truly without may suffer less because of it.
