1) The decision to engage in geoengineering is full of controversy . . . all you have to do is look at all the scientific debate and policy discussions to note that . . . the individuals who could have made the decision to proceed did not want the controversy and possibly being shut down . . . nor did they want to convince a panicked population why it was necessary . . .

2) It is not unusual for conditions at high altitudes to be optimal for persistent contrail formation in advance of a weather front . . . one can review these conditions by the use of atmospheric soundings collected to aid aviation . . .

While I believe CHEMTRAILs may exist. . . Persistent trails may exist at cruising altitudes even when the ground temperatures reach 100 plus degrees. .. see example below . . . you will notice the temperatures range from -43 degrees C to almost -62 degrees C . . . at 9,510 meters (31,200 feet) and at 16,470meters (54,035 feet) . . . ground temperature in Oakland 13 May was 65°F Lo 50°F .
