China already has problems with social unrest, poverty and disparity. Don't fool your selves we have done the same thing here. That is why we have over built and most people work for the government or are on assistance. It is all an attempt to kept the stability of social society. The question is why? There have been other threads here that basically the chine se would set up factory towns in the US - factory + housing their own workers - and it would essentially be tax free and free trade with the rest of the US. Hedge funds buying up farmland... High speed rail lines quietly being built... Why so quiet? |

But no one's ever home. No one rents these homes because no one can afford the rent, and there sure aren't any buyers. The clock is ticking. |

Once the foundation is built, a 15 storey apartment building gets hoisted up by crane and ironworkers in one week.
