ok!
we understand, no one is arguing that its not on the platform so stop.
we now know its in the tunnel just next to the end of the platform.
and we still quite aware that no one switched it off.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19132951 My point is proven, none of you sheeple knew where this "switch" was until this thread, I didn't know where it was and I grew up riding the MTA in Boston and Manhattan. Quoting: 1nf1del Well, we few GLP'ers learned something from this thread. Next time I'm in the city, I will look for the switch. [ link to gothamist.com] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8530253 OOPS....I just read the LAST sentence! UPDATE: MTA spokesperson Charles Seaton writes, "These switches are located in areas that are NOT accessible to subway customers. They are not on the station platform." And they're not accessible to the token booth clerk, either. Seaton declined to elaborate on their exact location, for obvious reasons. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8530253 If the switch wasn't accessible to the public or the clerk, then HOW THE HELL did he run over and throw it? Dumbass.
