Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 1405546 United States 07/06/2012 12:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The storms have been aggressive and numerous. Humidity is sick, face dripping saturated fog of heat. The ground is so dry, we dumped our toddlers mini-pool in the grass......soaked it up before it could run off even just a little. I did get to see nice heat lightening above Ohio during the 4th Fireworks. Must have been huge storm cause the thundertops were seen all the way in Pittsburgh. Drove 2 hours to see the fireworks, worth it (we have AC in the van thank God) The heat lightening was a deep pumpkin orange, really rare imho. |
Damrod User ID: 6266696 United States 07/06/2012 12:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yep...sweltering. Winchester, VA area. It's 88-90 right now with a heat index of 93 (70% humidity). Supposed to hit 94 actual temp. Tomorrow is supposed to get to 101. Sunday forecast 96. Excessive heat advisory in effect. You go outside and the sweat just starts pouring...humidity so high, it won't evaporate for cooling effect. |

Damrod User ID: 6266696 United States 07/06/2012 02:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was thinking about this as I was outside sweating while ago. I'm kinda old so... I can clearly remember the 4th of July in 1976. I was 11 years old at the time. We had went to my cousin's house for the 4th, you know...cookout, go to fireworks that night. They lived in Staunton, VA at the time and I remember it was 104 degrees. The asphalt was putting off so much heat you couldn't stand on it for more than a few minutes even with shoes on. Just something I thought of. |

Thread: Could the New Madrid fault line be triggered by the heat wave? I hate it when people say "We are not humans having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience" Like, WTF does that change? |

[link to english.cntv.cn] i thought i had this straight in my head but el nina is wet, el nino is dry...is what i thought from reading an australian report on it...now i'm confused. "Based on the prediction, the northern United States could be in for a warmer and drier winter than average, while the Southwest and Southeast could find itself with more rain than usual." and the headlines right under it say: "The phenomenon increases Atlantic wind shear that can keep tropical systems from forming, decreasing the total number of storms during the June 1 to Nov. 30 season." Related stories US battles heat wave and no power after storms 2012-07-02 Storms kill 6, leave millions powerless in U.S. 2012-07-01 ^^^^example of how the storms have decreased. /sarcasm worth my weight in squirrels. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 19232138 United States 07/07/2012 05:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just posted this in another "hot" thread, so I thought I would add it here. Hope it means something to you: ============================= This may not be the right thread for this information, but this heat is perfectly natural and expected. Mother Earth is transitioning into a new level of reality. What that means is that she is going to turn into a planet that will appear to be a planet of fire... What that means for humanity is that we must transition into a new and advanced form of life that can cope with these earth changes. Mother Earth has been moving toward this amazing change for a very long time and this information has been known by what we call "wise ones" throughout history. This time has been expected for thousands of years. Those that cannot cope with this amazing earth change will either leave or die... |
