Arghh, what is wrong with people. They are so out of touch with nature that they should just fucking die. I hate people that don't understand animals. I am not a libtard either, because libtards are clueless about nature and animals. |

If your dog barks in this town, especially at night, and someone complains, you will get a visit from the sheriff. First comes a warning to keep him inside, then they come and take him away. Quoting: CrissCross Our neighbor bought a muzzle for their dog, poor thing. Sad times. GOOD...nothing worse than dog that won't STFU |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 9718093 United States 07/04/2012 11:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We have had that law for years, anytime someone lets their dogs bark for longer than 15 minutes they can be fined, day OR night! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9231012 I love dogs but there is no reason the world needs to be so noisy just because of a lazy neighbor or some other asshat. My neighbor's dog stands in MY yard barking at me through the window. If any of the people on this street go outside, the thing runs into their yard and stands and barks. It even goes on one guy's carport to bark at him. Of course, the neighbor eventually comes to get it and apologizes, but I'd much rather they keep the thing in the house or on a leash. No one else on this street has a dog. The ones with the dog are the newest. They had no pets when they moved in. I really think they should've looked around and considered that maybe there were no dogs for a reason. I like dogs and owned a couple in the past, but I never would've allowed them to do this. I'm sick of it. I was going to spray it with the hose the other day, but as soon as I pointed it at it, it ran off----too bad it didn't keep going. |

Bluebird User ID: 730536 United States 07/04/2012 11:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We have something like a 10 or 11 pm noise ordinance and it includes barking dogs. No loud noises after that hour. But I don't know about in the day time. There is a leash law also and dogs aren't supposed to just run lose. Fortunately mine only weighs a few pounds and want to stay inside or wherever I am all the time. One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one. Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway. Anonymous Coward User ID: 15015575 United States 07/04/2012 11:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A bunch of people left their dogs out at night because "that's where dogs belong." The dogs did what dogs do, and barked a lot, making all of the neighbors stay up all night and affecting their ability to work in the morning. Then the neighbors came over and complained, but they were quickly told to buy earplugs and get off the property unless they wanted a beat down. The dogs kept barking and more neighbors got pissed off. The owners of the dogs didn't care because the owners fell asleep just fine each night with the TV on after a 5th of Jim Beam. So the neighbors had enough, and a law was passed. Or something like that. But, that's usually how laws like this get passed. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1539112 United States 07/04/2012 11:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is one of the reasons I'm glad I live where I do. County noise ordinance here doesn't address dogs, and there are a lot of people that still use dogs while coon hunting. I don't currently have a dog, but that being said, I think it's a little excessive to have to muzzle a dog for doing its job. I would want to know if there were people lurking around my house looking for metal to steal. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 19152551 United States 07/04/2012 11:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is a two-fold issue: Law enforcement has (should have) better things to do with their time and manpower. Barking dogs are hardly a reason to use that at the taxpayers' expense. But others who are forced to listen to constant barking can get annoyed and they do have a right to peace and quiet. HOWEVER . . . MORE important is pet owner responsibility. It is CRUEL to leave a dog outside for more than a few minutes at a time and it is CRUEL to allow a dog to continually bark. ANY pet owner who does either or both those things, should have the pet taken from them and placed in a home with loving, caring people who will protect them and give them as good a home as possible. |

But I am getting real sick of all the bitching and complaining coming from people 24-7. Some people I understand how they feel. But most people these days are absolute hypocrites. Greed is for amateurs. Disorder, chaos, anarchy: now that's fun! I am insane. And you are my insanity. I raise my flags, don my clothes It's a revolution, I suppose We'll paint it red to fit right in. I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus This is it, the apocalypse. Quoting: Bluebird Fortunately mine only weighs a few pounds and want to stay inside or wherever I am all the time. Oh my dear god she is cute!! I agree, at night if your dog is a barker it needs to be kept inside instead of disturbing the entire neighborhood! I like dogs, but I don't like being awoken in the middle of the night by a dog who barks because their owner couldn't be bothered to let them back in the house, or doesn't want to deal with them. Its not fair to the rest of the neighborhood, especially those of us that have jobs and have to wake up early. A dog in my neighborhood does this god-awful, high pitched whining/yelping thing all night because his asshole owner (who doesn't have a job to wake up for at 4am like I do) says he can't sleep with the dog in the house. So its not ok for him to be bothered by it, but its ok for the entire neighborhood to suffer. "Fortune, honour, beauty, youth are but blossoms dying. AC User ID: 18707986 United States 07/05/2012 12:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is a GREAT LAW! I keep my cats inside. So, why can't dog owners keep their barking dogs, inside? Dog owners are the worst...thinking that their barking dogs are lovely. Yet, most of the dogs are left outside during the day/night, etc. (dog abuse)...So, I figure some of the dogs are probably barking for someone to rescue them from their pathetic owners! On the other hand, people who love their dogs, keep them inside. I totally support dog barking laws, because I've suffered from obnoxious barking dogs in my neighborhood, for years. The problem is not with the dogs but with their owners who don't know how to properly take care of them. AC |
