As far as stds use common sense. Barriers, ideally getting to know someone well first. I wouldn't marry someone who I didn't know how they were in bed, you would have to be crazy, man or woman to do so. I get tested regularly and have impeccable hygeine. Oh, that stuff about abortion syndromes is bs for families and husbands to lock up people against their will and otherwise deprive them of their rights. That is not automatic, if you understood statistics and what theories and hypotheses really are, you wouldn't be so matter of factly attacking me with obscure and statistically skewed studies that implicate mental illness. I am not lost, and to be honest I am ok when I go for periods of time without sex, not hypersexual. The number of partners divided by years averaged out to a few a year, with dry spells between, and occasionally more. It is amazing how with the subject of sex the human mind just clicks off completely in like 75% of people and they stop being rational. I think its sad.

By giving easy access to sex to boys who have not developed themselves into men, no matter how old they are, you have prevented and delayed their ability of developing themselves into men.
