Why Are Libertarians All Gobblers Knob Over Ron Paul But THEY Never Say "Cut Military Spending NOW!"

The Libertarian candidate wants to cut military spending by 43%.

It is one of the primary reasons why we love Ron Paul. Because he will quit farming our children out to die for oil, israel, and popi plants. Libertarians are totally for slashing military spending. That's common knowledge.

hmm..OP i just see the name of one man in the title...something i misssed? Anyway most people have diffciculty in saying 'Cut military spending NOW' in most converstaions, depends what youre taling about really. If i was having a conversastion with patricia about her mum going to the kidney specialist thsi week, i would have trouble putting in the words 'cut military spending now'. Dont think it would be appropriate really.

Cut funding down to whatever costs it takes to properly self defend our borders from rouge attacks. No more of this aggressive, meddling overseas BS.

THIS Libertarian (me) supports cutting war spending by 100%.

Defense spending (protecting our borders instead of fighting illegal wars for oil and drugs) should remain the same. Which is probably pretty low, since most of our military spending is for offensive operations.

"I" am a Libertarian and I am all for cutting the military budget. To me, it's just a scam to load the pockets of the military industrial complex corporations and the Congressmen that are secret stockholders in those companies with our tax dollars.

I think we need a strong "defense" here at home. We can keep on investing in research and development, but there is no need for all the bases on the soil of other sovereign countries. The fact that we can have air power anywhere in the world in a few hours, to me, negates the need for all the land bases.

But that is just my opinion.

What libertarians are not saying we should cut military spending? I've been a libertarian since I was 14 years old, have followed the movement closely, and do not remember a time when every libertarian I know or read wasn't screaming to cut military spending drastically.
